Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure work complies with architectural/structural drawings

- Ensure all builders work adhere to contractual specifications, approved drawings, method statements, relevant statutory regulations and SLA requirements.

- Ensure proper sequencing of works as per agreed master programme.

- Document and report defects, non-compliant work, or deviations from specifications.

- Attend site meetings with contractors and consultants

- Attend site inspections and monitor material quality and workmanship standards.

- Report construction progress, technical issues, and risks to the Project Manager, and support site inspections, testing, and handover activities.

- Prepare daily/weekly reports for Project Manager

- Coordinate with consultants and contractors on all matters relating to builders work installation and performance on site.

- Ensure proper implementation of safety measures and document safety incidents and quality issues.

- Coordinate with consultants and contractors for project execution and defect rectification.

- Provide accurate information and documentation to facilitate valuation of works, progress claims, variations, and cost assessments.

- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and report unsafe practices or conditions.

Qualifications

- Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building/Construction Management or related field.

- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Clerk of Works in A&A (Addition & Alteration) project.

- Strong communication skills, good attention to detail, and ability to work independently on-site.

- Able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑availability construction environment.

- Proven ability to identify site issues, ensure installation quality, and supervise contractors effectively.
