Your Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to serve as a risk claims analyst for the Legal department, handling litigated risks cases and sensitive brand issues. The Litigation Sr Analyst is responsible for conducting investigations and managing assigned litigation matters from pre-suit through resolution. This includes gathering facts, evaluating liability and setting reserves, coordinating with internal stakeholders and outside counsel, and developing resolution strategies consistent with Company objectives and brand standards.

This role serves as an escalation point for the Claims team to assess case complexity, provide litigation guidance, and support jurisdictional and valuation analysis. The Litigation Specialist will have a working understanding of claim management and litigation.

What You Will Do

- Conduct thorough investigations of high exposure and brand impact claims by interviewing associates, store leadership, claimants and witnesses, reviewing video and documentation, and preserving evidence.
- Under the direction of in-house counsel, manage litigated matters, including coordination with outside counsel, developing case strategy, review pleadings, assessing liability and exposure, and setting reserves.
- Identify opportunities for early resolution and recommends litigation when appropriate.
- Establish and adjust reserves using sound judgment, analysis of claim exposure, and Company guidelines; authorizes payments within scope of authority.
- Coordinate claim defense efforts by collaborating with Store Operations, Asset Protection & Safety, and external vendors to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely resolution.
- Develop and delivers training and lessons learned to internal business partners, focusing on litigation trends, best practices, and legal process awareness.
- Ensure claims are handled in compliance with legal requirements, internal policies, and service standards while preserving the Company’s reputation and brand integrity
- Provide open feedback and mentorship to team members to encourage growth and greater responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Legal Studies or related studies or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- 6 Years Experience in risk and claims management and litigation
- 6 years of experience in risk, claim management, and litigation, including responsibility for managing litigation files and conducting investigations
- 5+ years demonstrated ability to analyze and manage ligation matters, including evaluating claims exposure, setting reserves, assessing risk, and developing resolution strategies
- 5+ years proven ability to manage a high-volume docket of litigation matters through all phases, including demand letters, pleadings and settlement
