What You’ll Do

As an Endoscopy RN, you’ll provide nursing care throughout the patient's entire procedural experience, including:

- Completing pre-procedure assessments and preparing patients for procedures
- Establishing IV access and administering medications as ordered
- Providing patient and family education
- Supporting physicians and the procedural team during endoscopic procedures
- Monitoring patients receiving sedation and/or anesthesia
- Recognizing and responding quickly to changes in patient condition
- Providing post-procedure recovery care and determining readiness for discharge
- Educating patients and caregivers on discharge and follow-up instructions
- Flexing between pre-op, procedure, and recovery based on patient and department needs

Procedures May Include

EGD • Colonoscopy • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy • Bronchoscopy • Esophageal Manometry • Anorectal Manometry • Other Diagnostic & Therapeutic Endoscopic Procedures

We’re Looking for an RN Who Is

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy procedural nursing, can recognize subtle changes in a patient's condition, communicate effectively with an interdisciplinary team, and are comfortable working in a fast-moving clinical environment.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current South Carolina or Compact State RN license
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS
- Previous Endoscopy or acute-care nursing experience preferred

Call Requirements

This position participates in the Endoscopy Department's call rotation , including after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage as assigned. Team members must be able to respond within the department's required call-back timeframe.
