- Collaborate with Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Security, and Web Development teams, and with external healthcare partners, to provide infrastructure solutions and secure data exchange.
- Drive continuous improvement by remediating vulnerabilities, keeping platforms current, and automating recurring operational work with proven and emerging technologies such as AI, serverless, and IaC.
- Utilize hands-on experience in administering and automating resilient, high-performing systems.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of related experience focused on cloud engineering, such as serving as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
- Hands-on experience administering and supporting core AWS services in production, such as EC2, ECS, S3, Route 53, VPC, IAM, Elastic Load Balancing, RDS, and CloudWatch, following least privilege and cloud security best practices.
- Foundational networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, SSH/SFTP, and firewall concepts.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or similar automation frameworks.
- Experience administering or supporting Linux and Windows operating systems in enterprise or production environments.
- Proficiency with scripting and programming languages, including Python, Bash, PowerShell, or other applicable languages.
- Experience administering enterprise applications hosted on cloud infrastructure, including upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and availability management.
- Experience administering or supporting Active Directory, including user and group management, group policy, and integration with applications and multi-factor authentication services.
- Experience with vulnerability and patch management, including remediating scanner findings within defined timelines and deploying updates across servers and virtual desktops.
- Experience in a 24/7 production environment, including ticket-based operational support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and change management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate), or comparable cloud certifications.
- Experience administering commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software, including installation, version upgrades, licensing, and vendor support coordination.
- Experience administering Amazon WorkSpaces and endpoint protection tools.
- Experience with multi-account AWS environments, AWS Organizations, service control policies, and centralized governance models.
- Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks, including NIST, CIS benchmarks, FedRAMP, or FISMA.
- Experience maintaining STIG-hardened machine images and automated image build pipelines.
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as AWS Systems Manager, PDQ Deploy, or comparable platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Amazon Q Developer, or equivalent organization-approved tools for code generation, troubleshooting, and infrastructure automation.
