We are seeking an experienced WinCC OA Developer to support the development and delivery of Omnivise Fleet SCADA, Siemens Energy's Fleet SCADA solution built on the WinCC OA platform. The role will be responsible for developing Siemens Energy's Fleet SCADA standard layer, including reusable libraries, visualization components, business logic, data management, integrations, and lifecycle management capabilities. The position will contribute to the establishment of the Fleet SCADA Competence Center, engineering standards, development environments, testing infrastructure, and reusable product accelerators. The ideal candidate combines strong WinCC OA expertise with experience in industrial automation, SCADA systems, industrial communications, and enterprise integrations.
A Snapshot of your Day
A typical day involves developing Fleet SCADA product capabilities, customizing WinCC OA applications, designing reusable engineering assets, integrating external systems using industrial protocols and APIs, and supporting testing and validation activities. You will collaborate with Product Management/Technical Leads, Engineering & Execution teams, and Siemens/ETM experts to deliver scalable, maintainable, and supportable Fleet SCADA solutions
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities of role)
Product Development • Develop and maintain Fleet SCADA product capabilities based on WinCC OA. • Build Siemens Energy standard libraries, reusable templates, faceplates, pictograms, dashboards, reports, and engineering accelerators. • Develop business logic, alarm management, visualization, authentication, data services, and fleet monitoring capabilities. • Design and implement integrations with OES services, MQTT broker-based communication systems, Industrial devices, and external enterprise applications. • Support multi-site fleet monitoring, site-to-fleet aggregation, alarm processing, and centralized operations use cases. • Contribute to WinCC OA customization, branding, and extension of Siemens Energy value-add capabilities
Engineering Excellence • Contribute to development tools, CI/CD pipelines, engineering standards, and coding guidelines. • Support the setup and maintenance of development labs, simulation environments, testing platforms, and validation infrastructure. • Participate in lifecycle management, patch validation, compatibility testing, upgrade testing, and release management. • Develop technical documentation, reusable engineering assets, and deployment accelerators. What You Bring (required qualification and skill sets) • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline. • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on WinCC OA development experience. • Experience delivering industrial SCADA solutions from design through commissioning. • Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and system integration skills. • Experience working in Agile development environments and cross-functional teams.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
WinCC OA • WinCC OA Certified Engineer with strong expertise in CTRL scripting, datapoint modeling, visualization development, alarm and event management, historical data management, trending and reporting, WinCC OA managers, distributed and multi-site SCADA architectures, and large-scale industrial monitoring systems.
