What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing is responsible for production and maintenance activities, including cost control, process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, safety, employee engagement, and environmental stewardship.

The General Production Supervisor coordinates and oversees production operations for the assigned shift, ensuring compliance with the production plan and achievement of quality, productivity, cost, and safety objectives. This role leads the team and collaborates with support functions to ensure operational continuity and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- 4–8 years of experience, preferably in production or manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Availability to work Shift B
- Experience leading and supervising teams.
- Experience in the medical device industry preferred.

What is expected of you and others at this level

- Coordinate and supervise daily production activities for Shift B, allocating personnel and resources according to operational priorities.
- Administer and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring employees follow established guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to the production plan and monitor productivity, quality, efficiency, scrap, and safety metrics.
- Lead, train, and develop the production team, providing feedback and promoting engagement and accountability.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve operational issues, reduce downtime, and maintain production continuity.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities, verify production records, and communicate results, issues, and priorities across shifts.
- Promote a safe work environment, ensure compliance with applicable quality procedures, and promptly escalate deviations that may affect products or operations.
