Job Responsibilities & Qualifications
Program Planning & Engagement
- Design and lead a diverse monthly calendar of social, recreational, spiritual, and educational activities
- Tailor programming to residents' interests, abilities, and care levels across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care
- Coordinate special events, outings, and family engagement opportunities
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and supervise Life Enrichment team members and volunteers
- Foster a culture of creativity, engagement, and resident-centered care within the department
Resident & Family Experience
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
- Partner with care teams to ensure programming supports residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being
- Track and report on resident participation and engagement outcomes
Administrative & Compliance
- Manage department budget, supplies, and vendor relationships
- Ensure programming meets state regulatory requirements and company standards
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma required; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred
- Strong organizational, creative, and communication skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a team
Preferred
- 1-3 years of activities or life enrichment experience in senior living
- Certified Activity Director (or state equivalent certification)
