What you'll do:
As Vice President, Regional Human Resources Business Partner, you will play an integral role in shaping the people agenda for the organisation’s regional business functions. Your day-to-day activities will involve building strong partnerships with senior leaders to understand their strategic priorities and translating these into actionable HR solutions. You will act as a connector between global HR teams and local business units, ensuring seamless delivery of talent management initiatives such as succession planning, performance evaluation, recruitment strategy alignment, and employee development. By leveraging your knowledge of best practice HR approaches and market insights, you will proactively identify optimisation opportunities for structural change while fostering an inclusive culture that supports diverse talent. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to drive collaborative outcomes across multiple regions—balancing stakeholder needs with organisational goals—and your commitment to enhancing employee experience through wellbeing programmes and effective communication.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with regional business function heads and their leadership teams to deliver impactful people priorities aligned with the firm’s talent strategy.
- Act as a strategic partner to understand business needs, develop tailored HR solutions, and drive talent management initiatives across assigned organisations.
- Represent HR at regional business forums, managing relationships between broader HR teams and business units at a regional level.
- Collaborate with Centres of Expertise (CoE) to implement operating models based on design principles and business area responsibilities.
- Lead regional change initiatives in partnership with global HR leads and relevant stakeholders to embed people priorities into the business function.
- Coach leaders on engagement and retention of key talent while supporting talent review processes for high-potential individuals regionally.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition teams to anticipate future recruitment needs, ensuring alignment with human capital plans and overseeing senior appointments.
- Support performance management processes by guiding annual goal setting, mid-year reviews, moderation of ratings, and compensation calibration exercises.
- Drive succession planning by identifying critical roles, developing successor pipelines, creating development plans, and embedding inclusion into culture and decision-making.
- Promote employee wellbeing by collaborating on action plans, engaging in employee listening methods, and implementing solutions that protect and enhance wellbeing.
What you bring:
To excel as Vice President, Regional Human Resources Business Partner, you will bring extensive experience from previous roles where you have partnered closely with senior leaders within complex matrixed environments. Your proven ability to develop strategic HR solutions that align with business objectives will be complemented by strong interpersonal skills—enabling you to build trust across cultures while balancing stakeholder needs. You are adept at managing cyclical talent processes such as performance reviews or compensation calibration exercises; your analytical mindset allows you to interpret data effectively for informed decision-making. Discretion is second nature when dealing with sensitive information; your communication style is polished yet empathetic whether coaching managers or presenting recommendations at board level. A deep understanding of current employment regulations ensures compliance throughout all activities while your resourcefulness helps identify alternate paths for achieving results. Your educational background includes at least a bachelor’s degree alongside practical expertise gained from overseeing budgets/resources within large organisations.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an HR business partner or similar role at a global or regional level within a matrixed environment is essential for success in this position.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that contribute meaningfully to achieving business objectives and improving overall performance.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to create joint expectations and deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, influence, empathy, sensitivity to cultural differences, and the ability to manage competing priorities while achieving results.
- Deep understanding of generalist HR practices including large-scale cyclical talent management activities such as performance evaluation and compensation processes.
- Exceptional discretion when handling confidential information coupled with tactful communication skills suitable for presenting at the highest levels of leadership.
- High degree of adaptability combined with resilience; comfortable navigating complex organisational structures while maintaining attention to detail.
- Highly numerate with proficiency in analysing data using Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) to support data-driven decisions.
- Solid knowledge of HR policies/procedures as well as employment/labour laws relevant to regional operations; experience overseeing budgets/resources is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is mandatory; additional qualifications related to human resources or organisational development are advantageous.
