About this role
Meta's Infrastructure organization is seeking a Strategy & Operations Lead to join the Capacity Ecosystems team. This role sits at the intersection of strategic planning, analytical rigor, and large-scale program execution — supporting the decisions and operational systems that govern how Meta plans, allocates, and scales its infrastructure capacity across AI, data center, and compute ecosystems. You will operate with significant autonomy, define the frameworks and operating models the team relies on (including frameworks that support the org's rhythm of business), and drive high priority cross-functional initiatives from problem framing through to measurable outcomes. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to complex multi-stakeholder environments, and can influence outcomes at the organizational level without direct authority.
Responsibilities
Define and support the analytical frameworks and decision models that inform capacity ecosystem strategy, including demand and supply dynamics, fleet utilization trade-offs, and infrastructure investment prioritization
Lead the development and evolution of the team's strategic roadmap, synthesizing inputs from infrastructure, finance, supply chain, and engineering partners into a coherent, prioritized plan
Drive the most complex and ambiguous cross-functional programs end-to-end — scoping initiatives, building execution plans, aligning stakeholders, managing dependencies, and holding teams accountable to delivery milestones
Identify systemic gaps in capacity planning processes and operational workflows, design solutions, and lead implementation across partner organizations
Own the design and continuous improvement of team operating cadences, including business reviews, planning cycles, and goal-tracking frameworks that provide leadership with clear visibility into ecosystem health and strategic progress
Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, strategic recommendations, and program status communications that accurately represent capacity ecosystem priorities, risks, and decisions
Serve as a thought partner to the Director of Capacity Ecosystems and other leaders, pressure-testing strategies, surfacing risks early, and proposing course corrections based on data
Build and scale internal knowledge-sharing and communication mechanisms that keep cross-functional partner organizations aligned on capacity ecosystem strategy and program progress
Conduct deep-dive analyses on infrastructure capacity topics — including AI compute scaling, data center supply chain economics, and ecosystem bottlenecks — to surface insights that shape long-term strategy
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in strategy and operations, program management, management consulting, or equivalent roles within large-scale technology or infrastructure organizations
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs with multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders, from initial scoping through delivery and retrospective
Experience building quantitative models, scenario analyses, and data-driven decision frameworks applied to capacity planning, supply chain, infrastructure investment, or analogous domains
Experience communicating strategic recommendations, program status, and analytical findings to executive audiences through written briefings, structured presentations, and business reviews
Experience driving accountability and alignment across teams without direct reporting authority, including escalation management and cross-functional dependency resolution Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into analytical or operational workflows to drive measurable efficiency gains or quality improvements
Experience building operational processes, goal-tracking systems, or business review cadences from the ground up in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments
Background in infrastructure capacity planning, cloud operations, data center supply chain, or AI compute scaling at a hyperscale technology company
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative or business discipline
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
