Job Description
Country & Credit Risk Management (CCRM) provides independent oversight of credit risks and is responsible for the independent reporting and analysis of all elements of credit risk.
CCRM establishes the Group’s core credit policies and guidelines. It monitors and manages credit risk within the established framework set down by the Board and/or EXCO and/or Group Credit Committee. As part of this process, it ensures that areas of significant risk are highlighted to Senior Management and appropriate actions are taken to mitigate and manage risk when necessary.
The credit policies and guidelines, which mitigate key risks arising from credit exposures, are periodically reviewed to ensure their continued relevance.
The Independent Credit Review Unit (ICRU) under CCRM performs independent credit reviews to ensure appropriate and timely classification of accounts framework.
CCRM is part of Group Risk Management, which is responsible for managing the risks arising from the Group’s business activities and ensuring these risks remain within the overall risk appetite established by the Board and Senior Management. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks and developing effective risk governance and strategies to manage them. To perform this role effectively, we undertake the following key tasks:
- Facilitate business development within a prudent, consistent and efficient risk appetite framework which is aligned with the Group’s strategy.
- Develop and implement a consistent risk management framework across the Group. This includes establishing risk policies and procedures, limit structures, delegation of authority and development of risk models for risk measurement.
- Provide the Board and Senior Management with an independent and timely assessment of the Group’s overall risk profile.
- Conduct independent assessment of credit proposals and grant approval based on delegated authority.

Job description
Member of the Credit Risk Stress Testing and Economic Capital team, responsible for the design, development and enhancement of credit stress testing and Economic Capital (ECAP) models, methodologies and analytical frameworks to support ICAAP and broader risk management objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, maintain and enhance credit stress testing and ECAP models, methodologies and analytical frameworks.
- Conduct performance monitoring and ongoing methodology enhancements to ensure models remain robust and fit for purpose.
- Prepare model documentation and support model validation, governance reviews, regulatory engagements and internal audit reviews.
- Drive enhancements to credit stress testing and ECAP engines, supporting data infrastructure and analytical capabilities.
- Analyze model outputs and provide insights on portfolio vulnerabilities, capital adequacy, risk concentrations and key risk drivers.
- Support the execution of group-wide credit stress testing exercises, ECAP assessments and ICAAP-related activities.
- Perform UAT to ensure model and system enhancements are accurately implemented.
- Prepare analyses and reports for management committees, regulators and other stakeholders.
Qualification/Requirement
- Good degree from a recognized tertiary institution, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related quantitative discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in credit risk modelling, credit stress testing, Economic Capital (ECAP), portfolio analytics, ICAAP, or other related risk management disciplines within the banking industry.
- Hands-on experience in the development, enhancement, validation or maintenance of credit risk, stress testing and/or Economic Capital models.
- Strong analytical and programming skills, with proficiency in SAS, Python, R and/or SQL.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and present complex analytical insights to senior management and regulators.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently drive model development and analytical initiatives.
- Team player with drive, initiative and a passion for credit risk portfolio management and quantitative risk analytics.
