About this role
The Inside Sales/Estimator position works primarily to develop key partnerships with customers to assure long term relationships are maintained and grow. This position aggressively promotes products and keeps up with the latest trends in the industry; identifying business opportunities for products and aggressively moving to gain closure. This position can be in-office or a remote position, depending on the company’s needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates the core values of Mid-State Supply.
Strategically plans, develops, and implements business objectives and associated goals, strategies, and measures to support MSS’s vision.
Ability to quote both small and large commercial jobs.
Provides internal auditing functions and performs risk assessments.
Directly involved in inventory and inventory control. Uses ERP software to keep track of inventory and projects.
Provides input into the expansion of product lines based off company and industry needs.
Develops long-term relationships with the MSS team, customers, and vendors. Increases partnerships for the advancement of the business.
Provides the knowledge transfer to the organization to make team aware of industry changes, vision.
Plans, sequences, monitors, evaluates, and communicates work progress to meet established goals within cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
Ensures company policies and procedures are developed, implemented, and adhered to effectively.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Works with team members to ensure highest level of safety in and around the workplace.
Participates with the Accounting team and Credit team to manage customer and vendor accounts.
Demonstrates self-motivation to make decisions and take action (within assigned boundaries) without having to be prompted or directed to do so.
Monitors the results of delegations, assignments, or projects considering the skills, knowledge, and experience of the assigned individual and the characteristics of the assigned project.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of Industrial sales experience is required.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to makes sales presentations.
ERP System experience is required; Epicor experience preferred.
Regular, reliable attendance.
PREFERRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education and Experience:
Sales experience in the electrical and industrial wholesale industry is highly preferred.
Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
