About the Job

We are seeking an Anti-Money Laundering Officer to join our team and contribute to the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) framework by identifying unusual customer activity, investigating potential financial crime risks, and supporting regulatory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough assessments of customer transactions and activities to identify potential AML/CTF risks and manage relevant system alerts.
- Investigate unusual or suspicious customer behavior and escalate findings as appropriate.
- Cooperate with various Bank Units to collect and assess supporting documentation related to customer transactions and business activities.
- Prepare, document, and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and other regulatory reports in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening AML/CTF controls and mitigating financial crime risks.
- Monitor developments in EU and Greek AML legislation, as well as guidance issued by international organizations (e.g., FATF, EBA, Wolfsberg Group), and support the implementation of relevant regulatory changes.
- Provide advisory support to internal stakeholders on AML/CTF requirements and best practices.
- Contribute to the execution of the AML/CTF team's annual action plan and ongoing compliance activities.
- Maintain accurate records, case documentation, and investigation files in line with regulatory and internal standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in AML/CTF, Compliance, Financial Crime, or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Hands-on experience in transaction monitoring, alert investigation, case management, and/or regulatory reporting will be considered a strong asset.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) are considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of AML/CTF regulations, financial crime typologies, and regulatory expectations.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Very good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
