As the company scales, we are looking for an experienced capital markets professional who can help execute financing transactions and contribute to the development of Terra’s broader capital markets strategy.

The Role
We are seeking a Capital Markets & Renewable Energy Finance Leader with deep experience in the renewable energy industry and a proven track record of executing complex financing transactions.
This is a highly hands-on role. The ideal candidate will bring experience across renewable project finance, capital markets, structured finance, tax equity, and/or transferable tax credits, with the ability to take transactions from initial structuring and financial modeling through diligence, negotiation, and closing.
The position is intentionally flexible in seniority. We are open to candidates at the Senior Manager, Associate Director, Director, or Vice President level , depending on their depth of relevant experience and demonstrated transaction execution capabilities.
The successful candidate will initially focus on supporting Terra's financing activities while developing into a broader leadership role with increasing ownership of the company's capital markets strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support renewable energy financing transactions from initial structuring through closing.
- Develop and analyze financial models for project finance, debt, equity, and structured finance transactions.
- Evaluate and execute financing strategies involving tax equity and transferable tax credits.
- Coordinate financial, legal, tax, technical, and commercial due diligence.
- Work directly with lenders, investors, tax equity providers, advisors, and other capital partners.
- Support term sheet development, negotiations, transaction documentation, and closing processes.
- Evaluate capital structure alternatives and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, infrastructure investors, and other sources of capital.
- Help develop scalable processes and strategies for Terra’s growing capital markets activities.
- Take increasing ownership of Terra’s overall capital markets strategy as the company scales.
What We’re Looking For
- Deep experience in the renewable energy industry , particularly in project finance, capital markets, or structured finance.
- Proven track record of structuring, negotiating, and closing financing transactions .
- Strong financial modeling skills and hands-on experience with debt, equity, project finance, and structured finance .
- Experience with tax equity and/or transferable tax credits is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project economics, capital structures, and financing strategies.
- Experience working with lenders, investors, tax equity providers, infrastructure funds, or investment banking/advisory firms.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment .
- We are open to Senior Manager, Associate Director, Director, and VP-level candidates—the depth and relevance of your experience matter more than your title.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to contribute immediately to transactions while growing into broader ownership of Terra’s capital markets strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in renewable energy finance, project finance, capital markets, structured finance, or investment banking .
- Experience with renewable energy developers, IPPs, infrastructure investors, project-finance lenders, tax-equity investors, or renewable energy advisory firms .
- Demonstrated experience executing complex renewable energy financing transactions from structuring through closing .
- Experience with tax equity, transferable tax credits, or other renewable energy incentive structures .
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including project-level cash flow modeling, valuation, debt sizing, and scenario analysis.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project economics, financing structures, and capital markets.
- Experience negotiating with financial institutions, investors, lenders, and other transaction counterparties.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field ; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear business recommendations.
- Experience working in a high-growth or entrepreneurial environment where individuals are expected to take ownership and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
