The Workshop Production Assistant Mission:

To bring high quality production, technical mastery and an engaging spirit to a dynamic, dual-function role across bench production and workshop coordination. As our in-house wax carving talent, you will guide and inspire team members in wax carving techniques, maintain production and quality standards of our story chain programme, and ensure day-to-day operations run seamlessly.

How you'll drive success:

Workshop & Administrative Coordination

- Daily Operations: Support day-to-day workshop organisation, keeping the space efficient, tidy, and inspiring to work in.
- Order Fulfilment: Process and dispatch customer orders and repairs efficiently; prepare and transport pieces to the Assay Office.
- Stock & Component Care: Assist with component organisation, stock movements, counts, and audits in collaboration with Ops and Logistics.
- Data & Tracking: Track and report weekly production and trade order data.
- End-to-End Workflow: Carry out QC on story chain orders post-Assay and assist with repairs and returns from intake to completion.

Bench Production

- Wax Carving Excellence: Sculpt, carve, and prototype designs in wax for bespoke pieces and new collection concepts.
- Creative Mentorship: Inspire and train team members in wax carving fundamentals and technical tips, building skill and confidence across the workshop.
- Bench Craftsmanship: Produce Story Chain and service programmes in 9–14ct gold to Astrid & Miyu’s signature quality standards.
- Product Innovation: Partner on the testing and development of new programmes, offering creative input on technical feasibility.
- Quality & Care: Uphold flawless workshop standards for craftsmanship, safety, tools, and material management. Perform detailed quality control and repairs in a timely manner.

What you'll need to thrive:

- Wax Carving Expertise: Hands-on experience carving and shaping wax models for jewellery casting.
- A Passion for collaboration: Natural confidence in mentoring, demonstrating techniques, and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Bench Experience: Proven skill working with 9–14ct gold, soldering, finishing, and bench repair.
- Precision & Eye for Detail: Meticulous care in handling precious metals, stones, and finished pieces.
- Time Management: Ability to balance creative bench work, teaching moments, and operational timelines seamlessly.
- A Collaborative Mindset: A proactive, dependable, and encouraging attitude that supports the growth and success of the whole workshop team.
