The position  Business Analyst - Trade & Loan Transformation (m/f/d) is available immediately at our location in Düsseldorf .

This vacancy is aimed equally at subject-matter experts, business analysts with strong IT affinity, and IT specialists with an interest in banking-related topics. Candidates with the appropriate prior knowledge—including university graduates and career changers—are also very welcome to apply.

TASKS

•    You analyse banking-related business challenges in systems and processes, with a focus on Global Trade and loan products.
•    You work closely with the relevant business areas, value streams and IT contacts and contribute in responsible roles to project activities—both locally and at European level.
•    You create detailed requirements documents, user stories and functional specifications for both waterfall and agile IT delivery.
•    Through your analyses, you support the ongoing development and redesign of future-ready business processes.
•    You take ownership of topics (e.g., analysing market trends and regulatory changes, deriving resulting change needs, and participating in specialized working groups).

REQUIREMENTS

•    A successfully completed degree, e.g., in business/economics, law, STEM, engineering or humanities; an additional completed banking apprenticeship/training is an advantage but not required.
•    Ideally, relevant prior knowledge of trade products (guarantees, letters of credit, forfaiting) or loans.
•    Methodological knowledge of business analysis.
•    The ability to quickly understand complex matters, abstract them, and present them in a structured way.
•    An open mindset, curiosity, and strong motivation to tackle complex topics and projects with a high-performing team paired with strong interpersonal skills and communication ability.
•    A pronounced customer, quality and output-driven orientation.
•    Very good German and English skills.

Ideally, you’ve already gained project experience in:
•    Analysing business processes and solution design
•    Planning and delivering complex change initiatives (agile and/or traditional)
•    Project, stakeholder and change management

OUR BENEFITS

The pay range for this role is 65.100,-- €  - 89.000,-- €

The final compensation structure depends on your qualifications and the resulting contractual grading:

- Tariff grading : The compensation is governed by the collective agreement for the private banking sector (Tarifvertrag für das private Bankgewerbe).
- Non-Tariff grading : For roles outside the tariff structure, HSBC offers multiple variable pay plans, to reflect the diverse nature of the businesses, roles and markets in which we operate. Variable pay is designed to reward colleagues for their individual performance and contribution, as well as the performance of their relevant Business / Infrastructure, and the overall Group.
