Job Scope & Responsabilities :
To accelerate the development of new science-based technologies in a strategic sector, EssilorLuxottica is strengthening its expertise in biochemistry and neuroscience. As part of a joint team composed of academics and EssilorLuxottica, this position aims to investigate, primarily through designing experiments, data collection and analysis, the biochemical and neural mechanisms in the retina that are involved in myopia control. More specifically, the goal is to study the dynamics of biological processes that regulate eye growth, including signal detection, transmission, and associated signaling cascades. The position requires a detailed understanding of the biochemical and physical phenomena at stake at the sub-cellular level. The protocols and experimental techniques will be developed with experts from cross-disciplinary domains.
- A- To contribute to innovation by managing a research program
- Contribute to research on the mechanisms underlying eye growth, from tissues to genetics, by developing a methodology (i.e., experimental design + data analysis framework) in collaboration with academic partners.
- Translate and apply acquired knowledge to maximize the effectiveness of treatments for slowing the progression of myopia.
- B- To communicate internally and externally, by oral and written modalities
- Participate in scientific conferences and write publications for peer-reviewed journals.
- Strengthen product credibility and intellectual property positions by capitalizing on the potential value of our discoveries.
