Description
For more than 100 years, Labconco has been a trusted manufacturer of laboratory equipment that supports scientific research, healthcare, and innovation around the world. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Material Handler to join our warehouse team and help ensure the accurate movement of materials that keep our manufacturing and shipping operations running efficiently.
This role is responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and distributing materials throughout the facility while serving as a key link between warehouse operations and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate enjoys staying organized, working in a fast-paced environment, and supporting production through timely and accurate material movement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, verify, and accurately document incoming materials and products.
- Pick, stage, and deliver materials to support manufacturing operations and production schedules.
- Pack and prepare materials, components, and finished goods for shipment or transfer.
- Coordinate closely with material handlers and team members across multiple departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Operate a sit-down forklift and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Accurately process inventory transactions using ERP systems and other computer-based tools.
- Load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the facility.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, labeling, and documentation.
- Assist with packaging, crating, and shipment preparation according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company policies and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience.
- Sit-down forklift experience required.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn ERP and inventory systems.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable attendance, reliability, and a positive work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production-support environment.
- Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, or ERP systems.
- Previous experience supporting internal production operations and material flow.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, and warehouse best practices.
