The Appliance Installer & Delivery Technician is responsible for safely delivering, installing, and testing appliances for our customers throughout the Fayetteville area. This hands-on role includes loading and transporting appliances, completing installations in customer homes and job sites, and supporting warehouse operations when not on the road. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-first environment, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties
Delivery
- Load, secure, and transport appliances safely using company trucks, dollies, straps, and lift equipment.
- Follow daily delivery schedules and routes and communicate arrival windows with customers.
- Inspect products for damage before loading and upon delivery and document any issues.
- Protect customer homes and property throughout the delivery process.
Appliance Installation
- Uncrate, set, level, and install appliances according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
- Complete basic water, drain, and plug-in electrical connections, including ice makers, dishwasher hookups, dryer vents, and electric range hookups.
- Test appliances for proper operation and leaks before completing each installation.
- Remove packaging and old appliances when requested and ensure proper disposal or recycling.
Customer Service
- Provide professional and courteous service while working in customer homes and on job sites.
- Answer customer questions and communicate installation or delivery concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
- Accurately complete required delivery and installation documentation.
Warehouse & Vehicle Support
- Receive, stage, and put away appliance inventory and assist with cycle counts.
- Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and parts.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow company safety procedures, including proper lifting, load securement, and PPE requirements.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
- At least 1 year of experience in appliance installation, delivery, or a related trade such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or construction.
- Working knowledge of basic water, drain, and electrical connections.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools, levels, meters, and leak-detection methods.
- Ability to read installation manuals, work orders, and delivery schedules.
- Professional and courteous when working in customers’ homes and on job sites.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and MVR review.
- Able to regularly lift, push, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., with heavier items moved using a partner or appropriate equipment.
- Able to bend, kneel, crawl, work in tight spaces, climb stairs while moving appliances, and stand or walk for most of the shift.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in non-climate-controlled environments, including heat, cold, and rain.
- Able to wear required PPE, including safety-toe boots and gloves.
Work takes place in the warehouse, company vehicles, customer homes, and job sites. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Preferred:
- 3–5 years of experience in appliance installation, delivery, or a related trade such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or construction.
- Experience installing major appliance brands sold by Hubbard Supplyhouse.
- Experience driving box trucks or liftgate trucks.
- Familiarity with mobile delivery or routing applications.
