1. Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the growth and adoption of the UV Smart portfolio within the assigned territory. Working closely with the sales organization, the role focuses on market development, opportunity creation, customer engagement, and execution of commercial strategies to accelerate business growth.
Reporting to the Business Director, the Business Development Manager operates in a matrix environment and collaborates closely with Commercial, Marketing and Tech Service teams to achieve shared business objectives. The role combines strategic business development, channel strategy, and hands-on market execution to expand UV Smart's presence and customer adoption.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives for the UV Smart portfolio within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute territory plans to increase market penetration and customer adoption.
- Define and support the execution of the channel strategy, including direct and indirect routes to market, in alignment with ASP commercial objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across hospitals, clinics, and healthcare networks.
- Partner with ASP sales representatives to develop opportunities, support customer engagements, and drive sales execution.
- Act as the portfolio specialist for UV Smart solutions, providing commercial and product expertise throughout the sales process.
- Build relationships with key decision makers, opinion leaders, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Lead customer presentations, product demonstrations, and value-based discussions.
- Gather market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive information to support business planning and growth initiatives.
- Support product launches, marketing programs, tenders, and strategic account development activities.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and business reporting.
3. Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, account management or commercial roles.
- Experience within healthcare, medical devices, infection prevention or related industries is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing new markets, launching products or driving commercial growth.
- Experience working within complex customer organizations and multi-stakeholder sales environments.
- Strong experience and in-depth knowledge in managing complex public tenders and procurement processes.
- Proven ability to achieve or exceed commercial objectives.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales funnel management tools.
- Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory; Spanish and Portuguese are considered an additional plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required.

The below salary ranges apply only to candidates who are located in Italy and employed under Italian local terms and conditions.
The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission calculated at 100% of target achieved ) is €76100 - €126800.
Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
