About this role
We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Construction Estimator/Scheduler with 5 to 10 years of hands-on construction management experience across schools, hospitals, and federal/public sector projects. In this hybrid dual role, you will be critical to project success—producing accurate cost estimates, building and reviewing realistic master schedules, and maintaining tight project controls from pre-construction through completion. The successful candidate is self-motivated, nimble, responsive, and inclined to work without direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating & Cost Analysis: Develop comprehensive conceptual, schematic, and final estimates, quantity takeoffs, and budget models for public building projects nationwide.
- Scheduling & Planning: Create and maintain detailed CPM schedules; analyze schedule logic, monitor progress, and develop delay/impact mitigation strategies.
- Project Controls & Forecasting: Work alongside project managers to track budget variances, review change orders, and provide accurate earned value and schedule updates.
- Value Engineering & Risk Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential project risks early in the design and planning phases.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field ( Required ).
- Experience: 5–10 years of professional construction management, estimating, and scheduling experience ( Required ).
- Sector Expertise: Proven track record working on schools (K-12/higher ed), healthcare facilities, federal government and public sector buildings ( Preferred ).
- Certifications ( Preferred ):
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE)
- Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP)
- Software Proficiency: Strong expertise with industry estimation and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam Revu, RSMeans, Procore, or similar tools).
- Location & Work Arrangement: Must be able to report to our Anaheim, CA office and local job sites 2–3 days per week.
