ABOUT THE ROLE
As we continue to look for more sustainable ways to build, we need world-class talent to join our team. We are seeking an energetic intern with a dual interest in Supply Chain Management and Sales & Marketing to support our Aggregates & Construction Materials division. This role bridges commercial strategy, logistics planning, and customer operations. You will gain hands-on experience in how aggregate materials (crushed stone, sand, gravel) and ready-mix concrete move from production to market, helping optimize our supply chain efficiency while supporting regional sales strategy. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning June 1, 2027.
This internship will be based in Eagan, MN.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As a Supply Chain and Sales Intern, you will gain valuable, hands-on experience and work closely with our team of experienced professionals. Key responsibilities include:
- Supply Chain & Logistics Optimization: Analyze logistics networks, dispatch scheduling, and material movement (truck, rail, barge) to identify opportunities for route optimization, cost reduction, and timely delivery of aggregate products
- Commercial & Market Analysis: Evaluate regional market trends, construction project pipelines, and competitor positioning to support product pricing strategies and sales growth.
- Customer & Field Engagement: Join sales account managers on client visits and site tours across quarries, ready-mix plants, and customer job sites to understand customer needs and build relationship-management skills.
- Demand Forecasting & Inventory Control: Collaborate with plant operations and sales teams to align product inventory levels with commercial sales forecasts, mitigating supply bottlenecks.
- Safety Protocols: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with Amrize standards.
- Skill Application: Utilize a range of skills and knowledge in day-to-day operations, working collaboratively to achieve team and company goals.
- Executive Presentation : At the end of your internship, you'll present your learnings and contributions to our executive leadership team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for enthusiastic students who meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Supply Chain Management, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance
- Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
- A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience and firsthand knowledge of our business operations.
SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT
- Work Schedule: This is an onsite role with a mandatory 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, working an 8-hour shift each day.
- Work Environment: You will be working in an office environment with opportunities to visit field sites.
- Transportation: You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the worksite.
- Travel Requirements: You may need to travel for site tours, shadowing experiences, or intern events throughout the duration of your internship.
