About this role

This role will involve:

- Primary responsibility for planning and executing local and international events

- Project and relationship management in relation to member attraction and engagement

- Being an effective ambassador for Cayman Finance and the financial sector in the community

Local/international events

- Developing local and international event strategies

4 x local member engagement events

- 4 x Ministry/CIMA roundtable discussions

- 4 x international conferences and side events

- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to agree event goals

- Developing event format options

- Planning events and related projects

- Selecting and managing venues and other service providers (such as AV/videography/venues)

- Appraising, selecting and overseeing other event partners

- Promoting/securing sponsorship (where applicable)

- Ongoing communication with event stakeholders

Member Engagement

- Manage a compelling value proposition for associate members

- Attract and retain associate members

- Manage member-related promotional media

- Maintain high engagement among associate members

- Maintain complete and accurate CRM data

Requirements

- Excellent academic record including bachelors or masters degree (any discipline)

- Experience in a non-profit organization or association preferred

- 3 years experience of event management in the Cayman Islands

- Experience planning international events preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Willingness and ability to travel

- Willingness to work some weekends and after hours
