What you'll be doing:

Müller is offering a 13-month for ambitious students who want to gain hands-on experience in both supply chain planning and customer operations. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to spend 13 months with our Ingredients Customer Operations team, while heavily supporting our Ingredients finance team.  All roles operate on a hybrid basis, and, while you will be based out of our Market Drayton office 2 days a week, some travel to Müller sites and customer locations will be required, along with home working.

The team is responsible for managing orders and delivery of bulk ingredients such as butter, milk powder, cream and buttermilk.  You’ll liaise with customers directly and help transact these products in both offline systems & SAP. This role offers great exposure to the end-to-end operations process, from order entry to logistics and export documentation.

There is a heavy reliance on information provided by this team, into our finance function and therefore the right candidate will be able to support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed.

Key tasks & responsibilities include:

- Ensure clear and regular communication with customers regarding deliveries.

- Manage relationships with 3 PL (third-party logistics ) warehouses

- Carry out physical stock takes

- Control stock and liaise with logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery

- Handle export documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance

- Reconcile sales, production, and pricing data, providing regular reports on ingredient matters

- Work alongside other placement students on a group project, enhancing teamwork and problem-soling skills

What we're looking for:

Müller is looking for driven, outgoing students with a passion for success to join this 13-month placement program. We’re seeking university students who are on track to achieve a 2:1 and above and are looking for a placement year role.

Key Skills and Qualifications Include:

- Clear and respectful communication skills: Both written and verbal. The ability to express ideas effectively, listen actively, and tailor communication to different audiences and contexts

- Adaptation in dynamic environments:   Ability to adapt and stay focused in dynamic environments, including when working to tight deadlines

- Problem solving: Innovative thinking and solution-oriented approach

- Initiative and teamwork: Capability to work independently and collaboratively

- Organisational skills: Effective time management and high attention to detail

- Strong numeracy and analytical skills: Making data-driven decisions to solve problems efficiently

- Technical proficiency: Competence with Microsoft office and digital tools

- UK Residency: Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold

- UK Driving License: Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least one year
