About this role

Job:

The main purpose of PERI’s Yard Supervisor (YRDSUPV) position is to manage the department/resources to meet set goals and objectives. The YRDSUPV does this by overseeing employees to efficiently and effectively complete assigned tasks and by following safety standards. Leveraging PERI’s resources, the YRDSUPV is accountable for supervising, supporting, steering the department KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) targets, and working alongside of teams in various yard departments. In addition, it is the responsibility of the YRDSUPV to support the Logistics Manager in assessing staffing needs, yard planning, and annual inventory.

What you’ll do in a typical day:

- Understand and execute assigned departments tasks and ensure assigned team is aware of and following all processes and procedures for department and related to safety.

- Ensuring safety policies and procedures are adhered to by all on company premises and assigned work areas are clean.

- Lead and motivate assigned department to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly yard goals and KPIs.

- Manage the assigned department to ensure overall customer expectations are met in an efficient and timely manner

- Lead and motivate employees while maintaining a positive, results-oriented workplace by striving to achieve productivity goals

- Develop the team for professional growth by setting clear expectations, training, providing feedback and coaching

- Participate in the interviewing and hiring process and provide feedback for hiring decisions

- Participate in employee related actives such as performance improvements and terminations

- Provide feedback and training to assigned team as necessary to ensure the safety and development of all employees.

- Participate in the complete cycle counts and annual inventory taking processes.

What you’ll need to be successful:

- Working knowledge of PERI equipment and a minimum of three years of experience in yard department processes and procedures

- Proficient in Microsoft Office application and computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to utilizing new technology/software

- Forklift certification required

- Ability to work overtime as needed

- Exceptional verbal and written communicator in the English language

- Spanish speaking is a plus

- Leadership Excellence: Proven track record of exceptional leadership demonstrated through communication, coaching/developing, delegation, relationship building, ownership/responsibility, team results, decision making, and emotional intelligence

- Attention to Detail: Thoroughly reviews work for errors, follows instructions, proofreads, and maintains accurate records.

- Company Knowledge: Strong PERI product knowledge and PERI yard experience.

- Team Collaboration: Works constructively with others to reach a common goal, respects ideas, builds trust, and is accountable.

PERI Offers a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, supplemental options, 401k retirement with company match, paid holidays, sick leave, and paid time off. The starting hourly wage for this position is $27.00 per hour.
