The Director, Commercial Division is a key leader responsible for the performance, profitability, and strategic direction of our Commercial Division.

This role oversees commercial operations and project financial performance while building strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead a dynamic and experienced team across Estimating, Project Management, Drafting, Fabrication, and Installation. You will foster a one-team mindset and lead, inspire, build, and motivate a high-performing team that consistently delivers on our higher purpose.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Be a change-champion driving accountability, operational excellence and continuous improvement opportunities with the goal of exceptional execution.

- Ensure the successful on-time/on budget completion of all projects, managing diverse teams while achieving financial and performance objectives.

- Oversee annual budgets and financial forecast, provide updates to the senior leadership team, and manage monthly billing processes and schedule adjustments.

- Represent the company within industry associations to foster new business relationships, while managing and maintaining existing relationships.

- Oversee commercial workload planning and scheduling to align project commitments with available labour, equipment and operational resources.

- Lead the strategic bidding process and project pursuit decisions, by evaluating Glass Canada resource availability and overall company capacity.

- Lead and inspire a team of 6 direct reports and 50 indirect reports.

- Participate as a member of Glass Canada senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and company decision making while working closely with other senior leaders to foster a one-team environment.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

- 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial construction, project management, operations management, or a related field.

- Experience in the glazing industry not required but considered an asset.

- Demonstrated experience leading diverse departments and teams managing multiple projects of varying complexity.

- Strong financial acumen and an understanding of project financial management, forecasting, billing, risk assessment, and change-order administration. Experience in construction billing is considered an asset.

- Proven business development experience with ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and industry partners.

- Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

- Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and financial reporting systems and tools.

- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and the belief that all incidents are preventable.

- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to customer sites, project locations, and industry meetings as required.
