Job Description -

Genpact is at a pivotal moment, accelerating its ambition to become a global leader in Agentic Operations. How we are found - and whether we are cited, summarized and recommended - is being rewritten in front of us.

We are building a Discoverability Centre of Excellence to own that shift. This role is its technical engine. Spanning Genpact.com and adjacent surfaces, the AVP, Search & AI Discoverability will own SEO, AEO, GEO, LLM and social search as a single connected discipline for Genpact. You will set the strategy, own the technical standards, oversee the discoverability tech stack, and build the measurement system that tells the business whether we are winning.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate credibly at executive level, guide cross-functional strategy, and still get into the likes of schema and structured data themselves.

Responsibilities

Integrated search strategy

- Own the strategy for SEO, AEO, GEO, and LLM search across Genpact.com and adjacent owned and influenceable surfaces, as one connected discipline.
- Partner with Head of Web and other channel leads (social, PR, Comms etc.) on cross-platform implementation.
- Translate a fast-moving external landscape into a clear, prioritized Genpact roadmap to measurably move the needle on brand visibility.
- Be the internal authority on AI search developments and best practice, LLM citation patterns, and the emerging role of social, video, and other platforms influencing discoverability.
- Own the technical chapter of the Genpact Discoverability Playbook and drive its adoption across Marketing
- Brief senior leadership on strategy, performance, and trade-offs, and build the business cases for future investment.

Technical standards and machine readability

- Partner with the Head of Web to define and govern on-site standards for schema and structured data, entity clarity, IA and taxonomy, internal linking, canonical content hubs, and technical retrievability for AI systems.
- Define the discoverability requirements placed on Genpact.com templates, components and publishing workflows, and partner with the Head of Web to get them implemented, embedded in the platform roadmap, and held to over time.
- Own Genpact's entity and knowledge-graph footprint. Partner with peers in Content Activation and PR & Comms on Wikipedia and Wikidata presence, third-party citations, structured company data and executive visibility.
- Lead due diligence for technical discoverability in enterprise change e.g. M&A activity, site integrations, brand transitions, domain and platform migrations.
- Maintain a practical understanding of how retrieval, grounding and citation selection work across major AI platforms, translating it into Genpact’s optimization roadmap.

Search intelligence, measurement and MarTech

- Own the prompt universe: the strategic framework, alignment to Genpact's GTM priorities, buyer personas, competitive benchmarking, and prompt validation.
- Oversee the discoverability tech stack including BrightEdge, Adobe LLM Optimizer, Meltwater GenAI Lens, Jasper, and successor platforms. Own the roadmap, vendor management, and business requirements, partnering with Martech & Channel Operations for implementation.
- Support creation and rollout of Genpact’s AI visibility scorecard, as the definitive measure of Genpact's share of answer, citation frequency, topic authority and search performance. Establish the analytical rhythm that turns monitoring into action.
- Partner with Marketing Operations to integrate discoverability data into the wider marketing data estate, so AI visibility can be reported alongside, and correlated with, broader brand to demand measures.

Leadership and influence

- Lead as a player-coach. Build and develop a small, high-calibre specialist team while remaining personally hands-on in the technical work that matters most.

- Set the standard for the discipline at Genpact, raising technical fluency across Marketing through enablement, clear guidance and practical challenge. Influence cross-functional matrixed teams and enforce governance as required to further brand visibility.

- Feed prompt performance and search intelligence into content prioritization, PR planning, social amplification and paid search.

- Represent Genpact externally in vendor councils and industry forums, using those relationships to keep Genpact ahead of platform change.

Requirements

- Experience in search, web, or digital marketing, including leading a search discipline for a major corporate.

- Deep, current, hands-on technical SEO expertise alongside demonstrable command of the technical requirements impacting AI retrievability.

- Hands-on ownership of AEO and GEO programs, including having measurably improved a brand's visibility, citation or share of answer in AI-generated results.

- Strong command of enterprise search and AI visibility platforms eg BrightEdge, Conductor, Semrush, Ahrefs, Adobe, Airops or Profound.

- Working fluency with HTML and enterprise CMS environments, preferably AEM Sites.

- Analytical mindset: experience defining methodology, building scorecards and translating performance data into actionable recommendations.

- Executive presence and excellent stakeholder-management skills.

- Comfort with ambiguity. This discipline is being defined in real-time, and you will be expected to form a view and act rather than wait for consensus.

Desirable :

- B2B, professional services, consulting or enterprise technology background.

- Experience of paid search or of working in close partnership with paid search teams, using organic and AI visibility insight to sharpen paid investment.

- Fluency in social media marketing, particularly YouTube, with an understanding of content formats and optimization strategies that inform native platform discoverability as well as LLM visibility.

- Practical experience applying AI-assisted workflows to search operations, performance tracking, and search optimization at scale.
