The Opportunity :

UCF is seeking a Transformational Giving Analyst to serve as a strategic partner to the Transformational Giving, Prospect Development, and Advancement Operations teams by supporting the identification, research, data quality and, advancement of individual prospects and donors with $1 million+ philanthropic capacity. Focused primarily on donors and prospects capable of making a transformational gift to UCF, this position manages CRM data quality efforts and record stewardship while providing intelligence and analytical support to strengthen the pipeline and facilitate successful transformational gift strategies.

This position combines data governance, prospect research, and advancement intelligence support to strengthen the identification, qualification, tracking, and cultivation of transformational giving prospects. The role supports fundraising success by maintaining accurate transformational prospect/donor records, conducting wealth and biographical research, and ensuring institutional leadership and front-line fundraisers have access to reliable information for decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Data Quality & Constituent Intelligence

- Conduct regular audits of transformational giving prospect, donor, assignment, proposal, and relationship data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with institutional data standards.
- Analyze and monitor data quality trends affecting the transformational giving pipeline and recommend process improvements that enhance prospect identification, tracking, and fundraising outcomes.
- Support data cleanup, enrichment, and validation initiatives focused on principal and transformational gift prospects, campaign priorities, and high-capacity donor engagement strategies.
- Maintain data standards, business rules, and documentation that support transformational giving prospect management, prospect research, portfolio optimization, and fundraising effectiveness.
- Ensure prospect and donor records accurately reflect biographical and career information, philanthropic capacity, engagement history, solicitation activity, proposal progress, and key relationships to support informed fundraising strategy.
- Partner with Transformational Giving, Prospect Development, and Advancement Operations staff to provide reliable constituent intelligence that strengthens the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of $1M+ prospects and donors.

Transformational Giving Prospect Research & Analysis

- Conduct comprehensive prospect research and prepare prospect profiles and briefings on individuals with the capacity to make gifts of $1 million or greater.
- Perform wealth assessments and philanthropic capacity evaluations utilizing internal and external research resources.
- Support validation and qualification efforts for identified $1M+ prospects and monitor outstanding qualification opportunities.
- Complete research updates and maintain current prospect records in the CRM for assigned transformational giving prospects.
- Generate and monitor prospect alerts and intelligence updates for senior leadership, gift officers, and transformational giving staff regarding high-priority prospects.
- Conduct prospect mapping and relationship analysis to identify connections between major prospects, volunteers, campaign leaders, alumni, and institutional partners.
- Review portfolios regularly to identify research needs for transformational giving prospects, assignment opportunities, and portfolio optimization recommendations.

Additional Responsibilities

- Assist with special projects involving campaign planning, prospect identification, data governance, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive constituent, financial, and philanthropic information.
- Stay informed of emerging trends and best practices in prospect research, prospect management, data quality, and advancement services.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6) .

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with prospect research resources, constituent relationship management systems and fundraising databases, including Blackbaud CRM and wealth screening tools.
- Experience within higher education, advancement, fundraising, or a nonprofit setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Knowledge of prospect development, prospect management, fundraising best practices, campaign planning, principal gifts, and transformational giving strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

- Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The anticipated salary range for a well-qualified candidate is $54,000 - $60,000 per year.
- The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above. All offers are contingent on successful background and reference screens.
