About this role

Product: Capital Markets – Enterprise Risk Suite
Territory: DACH: Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Location: Zurich, Frankfurt, Vienna or London (Hybrid)

Help financial institutions transform enterprise risk across DACH

Financial institutions are under increasing pressure to modernise legacy risk infrastructure, respond to evolving regulatory expectations, integrate fragmented data and deliver faster, more reliable risk insight. At the same time, they must improve governance, reduce operational complexity and establish scalable risk capabilities across the organisation.

At FIS, we help banks, capital markets firms, asset managers, insurers, fintechs and other regulated financial institutions modernise how they manage credit, market, liquidity, operational, regulatory and enterprise risk. We’re looking for a Senior Sales Executive to drive the growth of the FIS Enterprise Risk Suite across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

This is a senior, quota-carrying role for an accomplished enterprise seller who understands financial risk and thrives in complex, consultative sales environments. You’ll engage senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Technology and Transformation, helping clients adopt unified, scalable risk infrastructure.

The impact you’ll have

As a Senior Sales Executive, you’ll open strategic opportunities, build senior client relationships and close transformational deals across the DACH region.

You’ll:

- Win new clients and expand strategic accounts across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement through contract signature.
- Position FIS as a long-term risk transformation partner rather than solely a technology provider.
- Help regulated financial institutions modernise their risk operating models, technology and data infrastructure.
- Establish trusted relationships with CROs, CFOs, COOs, Heads of Risk, Heads of Finance, Technology leaders and Transformation executives.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth through strategic territory planning, new-business acquisition and account expansion.
- Represent FIS as a strategic ambassador for enterprise risk solutions across the DACH market.

Your success will be measured through revenue growth, bookings performance, pipeline development, strategic account advancement and long-term customer value creation.

What you’ll be selling

You’ll represent the FIS Enterprise Risk Suite, an integrated platform that helps financial institutions manage risk across:

- Credit risk

- Market risk

- Liquidity risk

- Operational risk

- Regulatory risk

- Enterprise risk

- Risk data aggregation, modelling and reporting

- Risk governance and regulatory alignment

- Workflow automation

- Real-time risk insight and decision support

The platform is designed to integrate siloed risk processes, strengthen governance, streamline data and reporting, improve risk intelligence, and reduce operational and compliance burdens through automation.

This is consultative, value-based selling focused on helping clients modernise legacy systems, establish unified risk infrastructure, reduce cost and complexity, and respond more effectively to regulatory expectations.

How you’ll do it

- Own and grow a high-value DACH sales pipeline, delivering against quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Develop and execute a territory strategy for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
- Identify institutions undergoing regulatory change, model modernisation, risk digitisation or infrastructure transformation.
- Lead full-cycle enterprise sales engagements, from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and deal closure.
- Conduct detailed discovery across clients’ risk frameworks, regulatory drivers, technology constraints and model-governance maturity.
- Build compelling business cases demonstrating ROI, cost reduction, risk optimisation and transformation value.
- Engage senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Technology, Operations, Transformation and the C-suite.
- Lead RFP and RFI responses, pricing strategy, commercial negotiations and contracting activities.
- Collaborate with Product, Pre-Sales, Risk SMEs and Delivery teams to define solution scope, architecture and execution strategy.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM discipline and transparent pipeline management.
- Represent FIS at risk summits, CRO forums, regulatory roundtables, conferences and client briefings.
- Provide structured market and client insight to Product Strategy and senior leadership.

What we’re looking for

Must-have experience

- Proven enterprise software sales experience within enterprise risk, regulatory technology, analytics, fintech or financial services technology.
- Strong understanding of financial risk, risk modelling, regulatory frameworks or enterprise risk management practices.
- Demonstrated success selling high-value solutions into banks, capital markets firms, insurers or other regulated financial institutions.
- Experience managing long, consultative and multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
- Ability to engage and influence CRO, CFO, Risk, Finance, Technology and Transformation leadership.
- Strong commercial storytelling, negotiation and value-based selling capabilities.
- Fluency in English & German

Preferred experience

- Established relationships with financial institutions and senior risk stakeholders across Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
- Experience selling risk, regulatory, analytics, SaaS, cloud or platform solutions.
- Knowledge of European regulatory requirements and risk transformation programmes.
- Experience with regulatory topics such as Basel IV, IRRBB, ICAAP/ILAAP, CRR3, digital operational resilience or stress testing.
- Experience selling into Tier 1 or Tier 2 banks and other large regulated institutions.
- Experience leading cross-border sales opportunities across European markets.
- Familiarity with risk data aggregation, modelling, regulatory reporting, workflow automation or enterprise risk architecture.

Why join FIS?

- Lead growth in one of FIS’s strategically important solution portfolios.
- Help major financial institutions across DACH modernise their enterprise risk capabilities.
- Work with clients on complex risk, regulatory and technology transformation programmes.
- Collaborate with specialists across risk, product development, pre-sales, delivery and enterprise technology.
- Competitive compensation, uncapped commission and comprehensive benefits.
- Access to training, tools and leadership development.
- Career mobility and professional growth within a global organisation.
- The opportunity to influence the risk transformation strategies of leading financial institutions.
