# Job Description

The Linen/Mail Distribution Manager has accountability of operations for both service lines. Manager works closely with area Supervisors to build a strong support team to meet the demands of the organization. Responsible for training in conjunction with the Training Director and oversees equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. Works with vendors to maintain relationships. Contribute to the success of the organization through achievement of departmental goals. Support growth of employees, promote a positive work ethic, and models the VH values. Follows all infection control policies and procedures. The Linen/Mail Distribution Manager oversees a strong control process to ensure quality of linen, service, supplies, and loss minimization. Correctly documents soiled products in collaboration with the vendor. Oversees the mailroom for quality, budget, and accuracy of mail delivery as well as oversight of payroll and all HR functions for both service lines.

Education
High School Diploma Or equivalent required.
AS or BS degree in Business or related field preferred.

Experience
5 Years Operations management experience in a professional setting.

Qualifications
Strong understanding of the Environmental Services function and continuous changes impacting the function and future of Environmental Services.
Strong understanding of all aspects of Regulated Medical Waste.
Excellent consultative, persuasive, financial and quantitative skills. Articulate and has excellent oral communication and presentation skills. Proactive, energetic self-starter and a creative thinker.
Displays excellent leadership skills by being open, direct, approachable and enthusiastic. Supervisory experience required.
Technology oriented. Strong experience in information systems.
Proficiency with ALL Microsoft Office Applications
