About this role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Strategic Sourcing Manager, focused on the IT category. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will identify, negotiate, and execute savings opportunities across IT spend to help the team hit annual run-rate savings targets. Success in this role requires strong BU relationship-building, flexibility, and a collaborative approach, alongside the procurement acumen to know where IT savings opportunities live across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Savings Delivery Against Run-Rate Targets: Lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing process for IT — identification, RFI/RFP, negotiation, and execution — to deliver measurable savings against annual run-rate targets, using a consistent savings methodology (hard vs. soft savings, cost avoidance, baseline definition).

- Opportunity Identification & Category Acumen: Apply deep IT category and market knowledge (software/SaaS, hardware, cloud, telecom, IT services) and an understanding of IT cost structures — licensing models, total cost of ownership, consumption, and labor rates — to proactively identify the highest-impact savings opportunities rather than waiting for BUs to bring them forward.

- BU Relationship Management & Change Management: Build strong relationships with IT and business unit stakeholders to understand spend drivers and business needs, and effectively change-manage new sourcing strategies, vendors, and processes into the organization.

- Procurement Process Maturity: Support the standardization of procurement processes, including the intake process, so BUs have a clear, consistent way to engage procurement.

- Contract Management: Negotiate favorable terms for IT agreements, ensure compliance, contract lifecycle, and work in collaboration with enterprise applications team.

- Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors to drive value, resolve issues, and support ongoing negotiations.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate sourcing strategy, savings performance, and process improvements to IT leadership and other stakeholders, and support the Director in executive-level reporting.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Procure-to-Pay, Real Estate, Travel & Expense, Legal, Finance, and Security teams to ensure procurement integrates seamlessly with the broader business.

- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Identify opportunities for process optimization, tooling improvements, and innovation within the sourcing and procurement function.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

- Working knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology (spend analysis, category strategy, RFx, negotiation, implementation) with a track record of delivering measurable savings.

- Experience in the IT category, with a solid understanding of IT cost structures and pricing models.

- Experience applying a savings methodology and reporting validated savings results.

- Demonstrated experience building relationships with BU stakeholders and supporting change management for new sourcing strategies and vendors.

- Strong contract management and negotiation skills.

- Experience with Coupa or similar procurement/P2P platforms, including intake and approval workflow.

- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to shift priorities in a fast-growing environment.

- Collaborative team player who works effectively across functions and in a matrix organization.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

- 5–7 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing, including at least 3 years of direct IT category sourcing experience across areas such as software/SaaS, cloud, hardware, telecom, and IT services.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

- MBA or relevant professional certification—such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or an equivalent credential—is preferred.

- Knowledge of compliance and experience with controls.
