We are seeking a sales-driven Head of High-Tech, US & Canada , to join our growing team.

What you will do:

- Develop and execute the High Tech vertical strategy for the United States and Canada in alignment with regional and global sales strategies.
- Drive profitable growth of the High Tech vertical through new business development, customer retention, account expansion, and development of new solutions.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline of High Tech opportunities and ensure opportunities are progressed through the sales process from identification through implementation.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key High Tech customers, prospects, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary regional point of expertise for High Tech industry requirements and supply chain trends.
- Develop annual business plans and measurable objectives for the High Tech vertical, including revenue, gross profit, pipeline, customer growth, and other relevant KPIs.
- Identify market opportunities, risks, competitive developments, and customer trends and translate these into actionable business strategies.

High Tech Vertical Strategy & Leadership

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive High Tech vertical strategy for the U.S. and Canada
- Build and implement an annual strategy-to-action plan identifying target markets, customers, opportunities, priorities, and initiatives.
- Define strategic priorities for growth across key High-Tech segments and supply chains.
- Develop a clear understanding of High-Tech customers' manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, procurement, and logistics requirements.
- Identify opportunities to expand the company's product and service offering within the High-Tech sector.
- Collaborate with global High-Tech stakeholders to leverage global capabilities, best practices, customer relationships, and market intelligence.
- Provide regular updates to regional and global leadership regarding vertical performance, market developments, opportunities, and risks.•
- Ensure the High Tech strategy remains aligned with overall company objectives, sales strategy, and financial targets.

Business Development & Sales

- Identify, qualify, develop, and secure new High Tech business opportunities.
- Build and actively manage a regional High Tech sales pipeline.
- Partner with local and regional Sales teams to identify target accounts and develop account-specific growth strategies.
- Participate directly in strategic customer opportunities and sales activities where High Tech industry expertise is required.
- Generate leads, conduct customer meetings, develop proposals, negotiate solutions, and support the sales process through closing and implementation.
- Develop strategies to increase share of wallet and expand existing High Tech customer relationships.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and introducing additional products and services.
- Support Sales teams with High Tech market knowledge, customer intelligence, value propositions, and solution development.
- Ensure High Tech opportunities are appropriately documented and managed through CRM and established sales processes.

Customer & Strategic Account Development

- Establish and maintain strong, multi-level relationships with key High-Tech customers and decisionmakers.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer supply chains, business objectives, pain points, and future requirements.
- Partner with Key Account Managers and local Sales teams on strategic High-Tech accounts.
- Participate in customer business reviews, strategic planning meetings, and executive-level customer discussions.
- Support timely resolution of customer issues and coordinate with appropriate internal teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Identify customer needs and translate them into differentiated logistics solutions.
- Develop long-term customer relationships designed to support retention, growth, and increased strategic value.

RFQ / RFP / Tender Management

- Lead or support complex High Tech RFQs, RFIs, RFPs, tenders, and other strategic business opportunities from initiation through completion.
- Develop bid strategies based on customer requirements, competitive analysis, market conditions, and commercial objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional bid teams involving Sales, Operations, Pricing, Product, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Establish bid project plans, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Ensure appropriate stakeholders are engaged and have clear actions and deadlines.
- Review commercial proposals and ensure the proposed solution addresses the customer's complete requirements.
- Work with Pricing and Product teams to develop competitive and profitable solutions.
- Identify potential risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.•
- Ensure consistency, quality, and compliance throughout the bid process.
- Support post-bid analysis to identify lessons learned and opportunities for future improvement.

Solution Development & Implementation

- Work with Operations, Product, Pricing, Trade Management, and other functions to develop solutions specifically aligned with High Tech supply chain requirements.
- Ensure proposed solutions are operationally feasible, commercially viable, and capable of delivering the required customer service levels.
- Guide operational teams through the implementation of new High-Tech business.
- Support the development and implementation of SOPs, customer-specific processes, KPIs, reporting requirements, and governance structures.
- Ensure successful transition from sales to operations and ongoing account management.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency, visibility, and customer experience.
- Support resolution of complex operational or service issues where High-Tech expertise is required.

Market Intelligence & Industry Development

- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the High Tech industry, including market trends, supply chain developments, customer priorities, manufacturing and sourcing strategies, and competitive activity.
- Monitor changes in global trade, manufacturing locations, nearshoring/reshoring, technology, capacity, and transportation requirements that may affect High Tech customers.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and potential threats to the company's business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with relevant High Tech industry organizations, associations, customers, and business partners.
- Represent the company at appropriate High Tech industry events, conferences, trade shows, and customer forums.
- Share relevant market intelligence with Sales, Operations, Product, and leadership teams.

Commercial & Financial Management

- Develop annual business plans and financial objectives for the High Tech vertical.
- Support achievement of revenue and gross profit objectives for the vertical.
- Monitor pipeline, revenue, gross profit, customer growth, retention, and other key performance indicators.
- Conduct regular reviews of the High-Tech book of business to identify profitable growth opportunities and areas requiring improvement.
- Evaluate commercial opportunities with consideration for revenue potential, profitability, service requirements, and strategic value.
- Work with Pricing and Finance to develop commercially sound solutions and pricing strategies. Identify opportunities to improve profitability through product diversification, improved customer mix, operational efficiencies, and increased share of wallet.
- Provide regular performance reporting and business updates to regional and global leadership.

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

- Serve as the central point of coordination for High Tech vertical initiatives across the U.S. and Canada.
- Establish strong working relationships with Sales, Operations, Pricing, Product, Finance, Marketing, Trade Management, Key Account Management, and other functions.
- Lead virtual teams and cross-functional project groups without direct authority where appropriate.
- Ensure all stakeholders have clear responsibilities, timelines, and objectives.
- Work with global teams to leverage international capabilities and ensure alignment with global High Tech strategies.
- Share High Tech customer knowledge and best practices with relevant regional and global teams.
- Engage regional and country management on strategic opportunities, customer requirements, and market developments.

Governance, Processes & Reporting

- Ensure compliance with established sales, customer management, tender, pricing, and commercial processes.
- Utilize CRM and other company systems to maintain accurate pipeline, opportunity, customer, and activity information.
- Establish appropriate governance for strategic High Tech opportunities and customers.
- Support implementation and maintenance of customer-specific SOPs, KPIs, reporting, and QBR processes.
- Monitor performance against agreed objectives and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure effective communication and visibility throughout strategic projects and opportunities.

What you bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, or related experience preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding logistics, supply chain, or a related industry.
- Significant experience working with High Tech customers and/or High-Tech supply chains.
- Strong international freight forwarding experience across multiple modes, including air and ocean.
- Demonstrated success in business development, sales, strategic account management, vertical management, or related commercial leadership.
- Experience leading complex RFQs, RFPs, tenders, or strategic customer opportunities.
- Experience working across Sales, Operations, Pricing, Product, and other cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing customer solutions and managing implementation of new business.
- Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen, including understanding of revenue, gross profit, pricing, and profitability.
- Experience working within a regional and/or global organization preferred.

Technical / Industry Knowledge

- Deep understanding of international freight forwarding and supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of air and ocean freight and related logistics services.
- Understanding of the unique requirements of High-Tech supply chains, including time-sensitive, high-value, complex, and globally distributed supply chains.
- Knowledge of customer-specific logistics requirements, service expectations, and supply chain solutions.
- Strong knowledge of CRM and sales management tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CargoWise or comparable transportation/logistics systems preferred.
