Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and service HVAC and refrigeration equipment for our commercial customers.
This is a field-based position for a technician who enjoys solving problems, working directly with customers, and taking ownership of getting equipment back up and running.
What You’ll Do
As a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician, you’ll spend your days troubleshooting and servicing equipment at customer locations throughout your assigned territory.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Service rooftop units, split systems, package units, walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, and other commercial HVAC/R equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, controls, airflow, and refrigeration-system issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential problems before they become emergency service calls
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications
- Recover, evacuate, charge, and troubleshoot refrigeration systems
- Identify failed components and determine the appropriate repair
- Communicate clearly with customers about equipment conditions, repairs, and recommendations
- Complete service documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory
- Work independently while staying connected with dispatch, management, and the rest of the service team
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Previous commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and controls
- Experience working with commercial HVAC equipment and refrigeration systems
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
- EPA certification
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable using mobile technology to receive calls and document completed work
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

- Commercial restaurant, retail, grocery, or foodservice environments
You don’t necessarily need experience with every piece of equipment on this list. We’re looking for technicians with a solid commercial HVAC/R foundation who know how to troubleshoot and are willing to continue learning.
