About this role
- Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers.
- Evaluates test results. Perform manual tests following detailed instructions.
- Must be able to work in all areas of this laboratory.
- Responsible for laboratory quality control, proficiency testing and Quality Assurance.
- Participate in facility performance improvement projects.
- Nights and Weekends are included in the workweek. Works unsupervised in an on call situation.
Requirements
- Degree in biology or chemistry, ASCP or equivalent certification, Licensure in State of Montana as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
- Knowledge and ability to perform routine laboratory procedures, research and set up new procedures;
- Experience in all areas of the laboratory including Microbiology and Immunohematology, computers, specialized analyzers, and equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of CLIA, Compliance and HIPAA regulations, budgeting.
- Ability to work cooperatively with all departments.
- Ability to productively work unsupervised.
