Software Engineer

Position Overview:

Intapp builds cloud software for professional firms in highly regulated industries, including legal, accounting, consulting, and private capital. The AIDO (Adoption Intelligence Data Operations) team builds the shared services that sit behind Intapp's products and operations. These include backend services, APIs, and data platforms that Intapp products call directly, as well as the internal tools and automation our teams depend on. AIDO is the only development team within Cloud Platform Engineering. You'll work next to DevOps and SRE engineers and own features from database to UI. Because product teams build on the services you ship, your work reaches both internal users and Intapp's clients.

What you'll do:

- Build and maintain backend services that Intapp products integrate with. That means designing stable, versioned APIs, handling multi-tenant data safely, and meeting the reliability and performance expectations of production dependencies.
- Develop Python services using Django and FastAPI, including REST APIs and MCP servers.
- Build React and TypeScript web applications for data-heavy internal tools and dashboards.
- Design ClickHouse data models for analytics. This covers materialized views, aggregations, calculated columns, schema migrations, and query performance tuning. DevOps runs the clusters, and AIDO owns the data layer on top.
- Build data pipelines and scheduled jobs that move and transform data across services and cloud storage.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control for services and APIs.
- Contribute to platform automation and tooling that support engineering teams across the company.
- Ship your own code to Kubernetes on Azure and AWS through Helm charts, CI pipelines, and GitOps deployments.
- Keep the codebase healthy through API contracts, typed clients, tests, and code review.

What you’ll need:

- 3+ years of professional software development, with production experience on both backend and frontend.
- Strong Python, with hands-on experience in Django or FastAPI (ideally both).
- Solid TypeScript and React, including state management and data fetching for data-heavy UIs.
- Good SQL skills and an understanding of analytical workloads.
- Experience with ClickHouse or another columnar database is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes. You don't need to be a platform expert, but you should be comfortable reading Helm charts, deployment logs, and pod status.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS).
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Clear written communication in English, and comfort working with product teams and stakeholders who aren't engineers.

Nice to have:

- Experience building services that other teams depend on, including API versioning, SLAs, and backward-compatible changes.
- Background in multi-tenant SaaS, where data isolation and security matter.
- Experience with materialized views, aggregation pipelines, or data warehouse modeling.
- Hands-on use of LLM tooling, such as building MCP servers or using AI coding assistants in daily work.
- Experience with Apache Arrow and Parquet, or with caching layers such as Redis-compatible stores.
