Your Next Career Opportunity – Senior Applications Developer

Responsible for the timely and quality delivery of system development including internal documentation, end user documentation, project planning, designing, and coding of software projects.

What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities

- Deliver excellent service through actively learning the company’s business and business processes, responding to the needs of the internal customers, and following through on commitments.
- Responsible for making improvement recommendations to the Senior Manager/Director, Applications Development/Software Engineering concerning changes in business process, internal department process and software development tools.
- Responsible for designing and developing an appropriate solution that conforms to and satisfies the business needs of the organization.
- Design and develop solutions using the cloud is a plus.
- Design solutions that meet system quality attributes. (Configurability, extensibility, maintainability, performant, reliability, reusability, robustness, testability, traceability, etc.)
- Design and implement integrations between software platforms and applications by implementing or consuming SOAP services, REST services, gRPC services and using API gateways and enterprise service bus (ESB).
- Strong Object-oriented design (OOD) approach.
- Strong knowledge of SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices.
- Ability to document requirements and specifications and model systems using key industry modeling languages and standards such as UML, SysML, BPMN, etc.
- Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC). SCRUM is a plus.
- Strong Unit Testing knowledge. Test-driven development is a plus.
- Proficiency in software engineering tools (IDEs, version control, modeling tools, profiling tools, command-line interface (CLI) tools, PowerShell, etc.)
- High level of expertise using Microsoft .Net frameworks to develop web services, web, desktop, and mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of relational database and No-SQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of application architectures such as MVVM, MVC, etc.
- Develop flowcharts, sequence diagrams, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
- Write well-designed, testable code.
- Document and maintain software functionality.
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Participate in the code reviews and design discussions of other engineers.
- Have a keen sense of end-to-end ownership.
- Participate in daily SCRUM meetings.
- Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
- Develop end user applications with .NET (C#, WPF, Xamarin) and JavaScript.
- Be a self-starter, capable of solving ambiguous and challenging technical problems with wide scope.
- Mentor and act as a technical role model for junior resources.
- Ensure complete issue tracking and reporting are maintained.
- Ensure code compliance and versioning using the Company’s dedicated source code management solution.
- Provide guidance with technical design.
- Work with Business Analysts, QA Analysts, Process Owners, and other cross-functional resources to define and deliver business-impacting projects.
- Work directly with stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into technical approaches and designs that comply with SBA’s technical requirements.
- Collaborate with development team members to ensure proper implementation and integration of the solutions.
- Support deployments or troubleshoot production issues outside of work hours and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and business processes.
- Assist with the implementation of new software enhancements, system processes, and/or 3rd party products within the software applications ecosystem.
- Maintain appropriate software on server and client development computers.
- Maintain proper documentation throughout the software development lifecycle of assigned projects.
- Participates in the creation of the supported software and hardware lists.
- Accountable for adherence to IT dept. standards, including but not limited to proper design, project documentation, coding standards, and approval processes.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to local and remote users’ concerns relating to applications.
- Must provide excellent customer service through end-user training and SOX documentation.
- Ensures Sarbanes Oxley compliance on all initiatives.
- Maintains sign-off documentation and other SDLC methodology documentation as required.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems/Technology, or related field of study preferred;
- and 7-10 years of Software development experience within a structured team environment. Must possess a strong understanding of SDLC and Project Management fundamentals. Strong understanding of business practices through work experience preferred.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge and ability to work with MS Office suite of products, including Outlook, Visio, and Project.Microsoft Developer Certifications - Solutions DeveloperDemonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency in developing web applications with .Net, C#.
