About this role

Avion Solutions Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Program Manager/Program Integration to support a U.S. Air Force Program Office. This position is based in Dayton, OH supporting Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

- Support Fighter/Bomber (F/B) portfolio program integration and capability planning, including technology solution sets, acquisition strategies, cost savings, and sustainment.
- Investigate, analyze, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate solutions for program initiatives; provide expert-level issue resolution and recommendations supporting desired program outcomes.
- Integrate program management, logistics, maintenance, supply, financial management, test, security management, information management, and contracting activities across program efforts.
- Build and maintain relationships with program offices, supporting Government organizations, contractors, Air Force commands, research organizations, and higher headquarters to support platform capability plans and programs.
- Support F/B portfolio interests in the Service Core Function process and science and technology investment planning; coordinate activities supporting future capability needs.
- Analyze warfighter requirements with Air Combat Command (ACC) and Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) and advise capability planning leadership on mission-critical needs.
- Identify capability needs and develop requirements for potential materiel solutions; connect warfighter requirements with organic engineering activities and acquisition planning.
- Support early systems engineering, test and evaluation strategy development, technology and manufacturing maturity assessments, life-cycle analyses, cost estimates, and acquisition intelligence engagement.
- Conduct capability trade studies and system-of-systems assessments; identify technology maturity and risk drivers and incorporate life-cycle planning from pre-concept through disposal.
- Apply acquisition process and policy expertise, acquisition streamlining, integrated weapon systems management, manning considerations, best practices, and lessons learned to assigned projects.
- Coordinate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), cross-cutting stakeholders, and Collaborative Capability Teams to develop and execute integrated capability planning activities.
- Prepare and review program data, documentation, briefings, and status presentations for IPT meetings, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), working groups, and conferences.
- Identify, research, and assess science and technology opportunities to meet future platform needs and reduce life-cycle costs.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior and journeyman personnel within the program management discipline, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

- Master’s degree in a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least five (5) years in DoW.
- Advanced program management knowledge and demonstrated ability to independently perform complex tasks, oversee junior and journeyman personnel, and apply associated standards, procedures, and practices at Program Office, Enterprise, and Staff levels.
- U.S. Air Force Major Command (MAJCOM) expertise and an understanding of broad warfighter requirements and capability planning needs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in program integration, capability planning, program analysis, and expert-level issue resolution across program management, logistics, maintenance, supply, financial management, test, security management, information management, and contracting.
- Knowledge of acquisition processes and policies, integrated weapon systems management, and comprehensive life-cycle planning.
- Ability to analyze capability requirements, evaluate materiel solutions and tradeoffs, assess technology maturity and risks, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Ability to coordinate with Government program offices, engineering organizations, contractors, operational commands, and higher headquarters.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, briefing, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoW Tier 3 Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

- USAF MAJCOM experience at Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC), or Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC).
