The Analytics & Data (A&D) team within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Strategy and Analytics delivers management reporting, customer and product behavior insights, and predictive analytics in support of Wealth Management, Banking and Firmwide Marketing. We are seeking an analytical, execution-oriented AVP to support the Private Markets including EquityZen business, with a primary focus on performance reporting, business insights and decision support.

Responsibilities
- Produce and enhance recurring management reporting and executive-ready dashboards that provide clear visibility into commercial performance, client activity, product trends, pipeline health and operating results.
- Analyze business performance across the customer lifecycle and translate findings into concise insights, and recommendations for Private Markets/EquityZen and Wealth Management stakeholders.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, Finance, Legal/Compliance and Technology to define key performance indicators, reporting requirements and consistent metric definitions.
- Support forecasting, target setting and performance reviews by preparing trend analyses, variance explanations, scenario assessments and leadership materials.
- Develop ad hoc analyses to evaluate growth opportunities, operating challenges and emerging business questions
- Maintain strong controls over reporting outputs by validating source data, documenting business logic, reconciling results and promptly resolving data-quality issues with appropriate partners.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, reduce manual effort and improve the timeliness, usability and consistency of analytics deliverables.
- Manage assigned projects from requirements through delivery, coordinate stakeholders, communicate risks and dependencies, and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement; Bachelor degree
- 3+ years of experience in analytics and reporting roles within financial services.
- Strong experience developing executive reporting, dashboards, scorecards and performance analyses that connect business results to actionable insights.
- Experience working across modern data platforms and analytics tools; familiarity with environments including Snowflake, Hadoop, Dataiku, and Tableau strongly preferred.
- P roficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including producing executive-ready decks that can be used with minimal editing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python with hands-on data analytics skills, including the ability to manipulate large datasets, validate results, and defend assumptions.
- Experience supporting forecasting, planning, pipeline analysis or financial and operating performance reviews.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, controls, documentation and reproducible reporting processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings clearly to senior stakeholders and tailor the level of detail to the audience.
- Collaborative and organized approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and Technology
- Knowledge of financial services, venture capital or private markets is preferred.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
