Role Summary
Senior Associate within the Portfolio team, reporting to the Head of Portfolio in France. Responsible for producing strategic portfolio analyses and managing client-related requests in collaboration with other team members or in autonomy. This is a highly transversal role with high level of interactions with various departments, from front-end Asset Management and Transaction Teams to Finance and Data/IT teams to set up analyses and propose best strategies for investors’ portfolios. The Senior Associate demonstrates strong ownership of execution, sound judgement in managing cross-department inputs and driving projects, as well as the ability to determine the appropriate level of escalation. The Senior Associate can explain complex situations in simple words, he/she contributes to best-practice sharing, supporting more junior team members and helping enhance portfolio management standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Within a team of Portfolio Managers, manage dedicated client interactions – either on a dedicated client or a dedicated part of the Portfolio.
· Support portfolio-related requests and contributing to client interactions jointly with more senior colleagues on complex topics.
· Deliver strategic portfolio analyses and reports for the relevant scope, involving cross-department alignment and periodic supervision where appropriate.
· Monitor portfolio KPIs and contribute to portfolio management analyses, ensuring a clear understanding of performance drivers, value movements and key assumptions.
· Drive complex assignments and projects by completing assigned tasks, coordinating with other departments along the Real Estate value chain and ensuring quality execution and follow-up.
· Act as an individual contributor able to influence peers and share best practices.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience : Master in Management/Engineering with minimum 5 years of related experience including experience in a client-facing role. Proven Real Estate experience in Portfolio Management and/or Asset Management or Transaction. Good knowledge of Real Estate modeling in general and valuation tools such as Argus Enterprise.
Scope & Complexity : Handles complex portfolio analyses, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to details, judgment and stakeholder alignment. The role involves managing several parallel projects and closely following up on strategy execution with a disciplined and structured approach to execution.
Autonomy & Decision-Making : Demonstrates a high degree of autonomy in day-to-day strategic analyses and time management. It requires a high capacity of taking decisions to find the best solution in a constraint environment (time and resources).
Communication & Influencing Skills : Demonstrated strong influencing skills in a cross-department context. Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, able to explain a complex situation in a simple way, to the point.
Key Stakeholders : Internal : Portfolio Teams, Asset Managers/Directors, Fund Management/Finance, Transactions, Risk/Compliance, ESG. External : Allianz Investor representatives, service providers.
Prerequisites : Team player. Fluency in English and French, additional European Language is a plus.
