About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Pe r Diem Hospital Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medication management across the organization. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes while delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care.

Serving Tustin, Santa Ana and other surrounding communities, Foothill Regional Medical Center is a fully accredited acute care hospital, licensed for 177 beds—120 beds for general acute care, 15 intensive care beds and 42 pediatric sub-acute beds. Our surgeons are supported by state-of-the-art robotics.

What You'll Do
- Review, verify, and process medication orders to ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform drug distribution, order entry, medication verification, and patient profile maintenance.
- Provide clinical consultation, drug information, and therapeutic recommendations to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient drug therapy and intervene when necessary to improve treatment outcomes and medication safety.
- Supervise medication dispensing activities, including unit-dose distribution, narcotic dispensing, and controlled substance accountability.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support evidence-based medication management.
- Direct and support pharmacy technicians in daily operational and clinical activities.
- Assist with medication inventory management, purchasing oversight, and drug supply optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, accreditation, and organizational pharmacy standards.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in California Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy recognized by the California State Board of Pharmacy
- At least 1 year experience and knowledge in acute hospital pharmacy
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- Our organization follows an in person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a weekly basis. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is $75.00 hourly. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
