About this role
Air Liquide Laboratories is one of the main R&D centers of the Air Liquide group. Its goal is to develop new and innovative solutions for the entire Air Liquide group. Air Liquide Laboratories is located at Innovation Campus Tokyo, inaugurated in March 2019. The new facility promotes collaboration with customers, start-up companies and academic partners. It gathers researchers and workers from all around the world in order to promote a multicultural work environment and skills diversity. The Campus develops the latest thin film deposition and etching technologies for applications in electronics, batteries and fuel cells, as well as strategies and solutions for the entire supply chain, production, purification, storage, transportation and distribution of low carbon hydrogen.
Evaluation of novel organometallic or silicon-based precursors in ALD/CVD thin film processing and analysis of the films.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
We are seeking a skilled process engineer with experience in thin film deposition of organometallic and/or silicon-based compounds, and thin film analyses.
The main responsibilities will be:
- Specialist in ALD/CVD of thin films with organometallic and silicon-based compounds
- Specialist in thin-film analyses using ellipsometry, XPS, SEM, AFM, FT-IR, etc and interpretation
- Proactively maintain ALD/CVD deposition tools
- Timely and concise reporting (R&D reports, patent applications, internal meetings, customer meetings, etc.)
- Actively sustain interactions within AL group and customers, support R&D and AL reputation in the field
- Lead and organize the tasks within WPs/project
- Mentor scientists
- Join the safety activities in ALL/Innovation Campus Tokyo
- Strong experience in a relevant private R&D lab is a prerequisite

- NMR、TGA、DSC、質量分析等を用いた分析業務
- ALD/CVD成膜装置のメンテナンスのサポート業務
- 研究成果の期日内での正確な報告および資料の作成業務 (グループ内向けレポートの作成、特許出願案の作成、グループ内ミーティングおよび顧客向けミーティングの資料準備および説明等)
- 弊グループ関連企業との連携および顧客サポート業務
- WPs/プロジェクト内のタスクのリードと整理
- 若手研究者やインターン生の指導
- 弊社内の安全活動に率先して参加・貢献

Desired profile:
Strictly required: Master/PhD degree with relevant and very significant experience
Required skills:
- Being experienced in handling pyrophoric, toxic, and combustible materials is a strong plus; the process engineer would need to shortly learn if not experienced
- Fully work autonomously
- Can face challenging problems
Interpersonal skills:
Effective team player, communication skills, working in an international environment
Languages: English business level required. E-mail exchanges and meetings are held in English.
Japanese and/or Taiwanese: Conversation level is a plus.

- 関連する分野の修士号取得後、5年以上の経験を有する方、関連する分野での博士号取得後、他企業もしくは大学・研究所での研究業務経験をお持ちの方優遇いたします。
- 語学力:英語:ビジネスレベル必須。社内公用語は英語(メール、ミーティング等)。日本語/ 中国語(台湾華語 ) : 会話レベルであれば尚可。
- 発火性物質、毒性物質、可燃性物質の取り扱いの経験があれば尚可
- CVD/ALDの経験があれば尚可
- 上記職務内容・責任に記載された事項を独立した研究者として遂行可能な方
- 国際的な組織の中で、様々な立場の人々と良好な関係を構築できるコミュニケーション能力に優れた方
- 困難な問題に立ち向かうことができる能力
