Job Description:

The Business Operations Strategy Project Manager for Disney Cruise Line and Adventures & Expeditions serves as a strategic operations integrator and project manager, ensuring that new operations initiatives, systems, and processes are seamlessly aligned with operational requirements, Guest, Cast, and Crew experience standards, and enterprise objectives. This role partners across disciplines to drive execution from early development through design, operational readiness, implementation, and sustainment.

The Business Operations Strategy Project Manager will report to the Manager Business Operations Strategy & Analytics and sits in Celebration, FL.

*This is an on-site role based in Celebration, FL.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Integration & Project Leadership

- Lead end-to-end integration of operational requirements across multi-disciplinary projects, including, but not limited to, new business initiatives, expansions, and system enhancements.
- Manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, budget, and operational readiness objectives.
- Serve as a key integration leader across the Sales & Pre-Arrival Operations portfolio, ensuring consistency with Disney Cruise Line and Adventures and Expeditions standards and long-term strategic goals.
- Develop strategic business cases and framed operational improvement opportunities for executives, aligning recommendations to organizational goals, ROI, and execution feasibility.

Cross-Functional Alignment

- Act as a liaison between Operations and key partners including Commercial, Technology & Digital, Finance, Legal, and 3rd-Party partners.
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders to ensure operational requirements, functional adjacencies, and Guest/Cast/Crew experience considerations are fully integrated into project delivery.
- Partner with business functions (e.g., Business Integration & Communications, Operations, Revenue Management, Marketing, Travel Agency Sales) to support coordinated planning and execution of initiatives.

Project Planning, Governance & Execution

- Develop and maintain integrated project plans and schedules in partnership with Project Management and Operations teams, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities.
- Lead project governance activities including stakeholder forums, working sessions, and executive updates; drive decision-making and maintain alignment across leadership levels.
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations and recommendations to stakeholders ranging from frontline teams to executive leadership.
- Lead and facilitate strategic governance forums, leadership reviews, and decision-making sessions.
- Identify and mitigate risks to delivery timelines, escalating critical issues proactively.

Operational Readiness & Documentation

- Translate operational requirements into actionable plans, documentation, and roadmaps.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and organizational knowledge, including decisions, change requests, process flows, and supporting materials.
- Support development of programmatic summaries and operational narratives that reflect intended Guest, Cast, and Crew experiences.

Continuous Improvement & Advisory

- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner, providing expertise in business operations strategy and project management.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance effectiveness, project execution, and organizational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

- 4+ years experience leading complex operations integration, project management, or strategic planning initiatives in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional projects from concept through execution with limited direction.
- Strong executive communication skills, with experience developing content, presenting, and influencing senior leadership.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to influence through data-driven decisions.

- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic business cases and frame operational improvement opportunities for executive audiences, aligning recommendations with organizational goals, return on investment, and implementation feasibility.

- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing demands in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and drive alignment across diverse teams.
- High attention to detail with the ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear, actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, establish scalable processes, and drive measurable outcomes in an operations environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Miro, Smartsheet).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience leading large-scale organizational transformation.
- Familiarity with Disney Cruise Line and Adventures & Expeditions Operations.

Education Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.

Preferred Education:

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Change Management certification, or similar credentials.

The hiring range for this position in Celebration, FL is $100,100.00-$134,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
