At Midland States Bank, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of short-term incentives (i.e. bonus and/or commission) and may include long-term incentives (i.e. stock awards). Position Summary

The Service Center Engineer - I.A.M. Intern will provide assistance to the Information Technology Service Center and Identity and Access Management (I.A.M.) team with recurring responsibilities and project-based work focused on identity governance and access management.

Primary Accountabilities

- Work closely with I.A.M. Engineers to learn identity governance concepts and how user identities are managed throughout the identity lifecycle.
- Develop foundational knowledge of Okta and how identity and access governance is administered within Midland.
- Learn how access governance requests flow into the IT service management (ITSM) tool for execution and remediation.
- Assist with appropriate access requests and remediation activities under the guidance of the I.A.M. team.
- Complete a project mapping Midland's identity governance layer from identity alignment through performance metrics.
- Analyze data and document processes related to identity and access management.
- Collaborate with the Service Center and broader IT support teams to understand how identity governance supports the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Position Qualifications

Education/Experience:

- The internship will run for Summer of 2027 beginning mid-May and ending early August.
- Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Must reside local to St. Louis, MO and report to the St. Louis office.
- Enrolled in a degree program with courses of study including Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and iOS.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and data analysis skills with strong attention to detail.
- Curious, analytical, and structured approach to learning and problem solving.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Works well in team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams.
- Demonstrates ability to learn and use new software and programs.
