About this role
MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers , including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.
In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions , the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.
Role Context
This role sits within Events Marketing. You'll help build and run MaintainX's field and events program, including regional events, user meetups, brand activations, and our flagship client-facing conference, with a mentor on the team to help you grow into owning bigger pieces of it.
The Role
You'll get hands-on with every part of our field events program, from the regional meetup down the street to the flagship conference that brings our biggest customers together, and you'll pick up real ownership fast.
- Plan and execute regional events, user meetups, and brand activations that put MaintainX in front of the prospects and customers who matter most.
- Build attendee lists, coordinate invites, and drive the follow-up that turns event conversations into real pipeline.
- Own smaller events end-to-end (venue, vendor, run-of-show, the works) and dig into the flagship conference as it comes together.
- Track what's working, like meetings booked, accounts engaged, pipeline sourced and influenced, and use that data to make the next event better than the last.
- Partner with design, content, and demand gen to bring events to life: landing pages, signage, swag, the full on-site experience.
- Get a front-row seat on MaintainX's flagship client conference, with room to grow from logistics into programming.
Within your first 6–12 months, you'll be running smaller events solo and playing a real role in pulling off the flagship conference.
About You
Must-haves
- 1–2+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or a related in-person events role, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- Experience executing in-person events, anything from small dinners to regional gatherings.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail; comfortable juggling multiple programs at once.
- Excellent collaboration skills; you know how to work with Sales, vendors, and internal stakeholders to get things done.
- A creative mindset and genuine enthusiasm for memorable, human-first experiences.
- Valid passport and the ability to travel roughly 15% of the time across the US and Canada.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with CMMS, industrial software, or another startup / entrepreneurial environment.
- Comfort with AI tools for day-to-day marketing work (nice to have, not required).
We Offer
- Work that shows up in the physical world. What you help launch and promote keeps factories, fleets, and facilities running better.
- Mentorship built in. You'll learn how to run a flagship client event from someone who already owns one, and get there faster for it.
- Autodesk scale, same mission. Global reach and the resources of a public company, pointed at a problem we were already solving.
- A career with real room. Field and events marketing is still being built out here, with a clear path from supporting the program to owning pieces of it outright.
Values & How We Work
We reward output, not hours logged or hats worn. You'll get real ownership as you grow into it, and a mentor invested in getting you there. We move fast, have honest conversations early, and expect the same back.
Our mission is to keep the physical world running. Factories, fleets, hospitals and campuses stay up because the people who maintain them have tools worth using. That is what we build.
