Essential Job Functions
- Concurrently, maintain full management and oversight of multiple financial, operational & regulatory audit engagements; investigations; and any other targeted reviews;
- Perform annual/quarterly risk assessments to develop/update the annual audit plan.
- Review, assess and develop/update internal audit policies and work paper standards as needed.
- Manage follow-up process of agreed management action plans and provide periodic status reporting to the executive leadership
- Provide support as required in Audit Committee and other executive reporting. Participate in committees or task forces as required
- Ensure adherence to planned budgets, schedules, scope and other requirements.
- Build partnerships across all lines of business to achieve the best possible business results.
- Develop and maintain the credibility of the internal audit function by complying with professional audit standards and keeping current on the latest legislative developments regulations/trends, methodologies and best practices. Monitor service quality of the group, take decisive steps to identify causes and take corrective action when results fall below group targets. Provide training and feedback as needed.
- Establish team resource allocation for projects and manage relationship with co-sourced resource partner and overall budget.
- Train and evaluate less experienced IA team members
- Actively participate in recruiting efforts to obtain the best talent for our function.
