Corewell Health is seeking a compassionate, innovative, and highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help launch and support a new outpatient clinic serving individuals aged 16 years and older with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing multidisciplinary program focused on improving access, safety, and quality care for a historically underserved population. The BCBA will play a critical role in behavioral assessment, individualized treatment planning, staff education, crisis prevention, and program development.

Select Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments for adult patients with IDD.
- Develop individualized behavior intervention plans with measurable goals and outcomes.
- Perform Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and related evaluations.
- Collaborate with providers, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support successful patient care.
- Participate in pre-visit planning and behavioral risk assessments.
- Develop proactive safety and de-escalation strategies.
- Support guardianship and care coordination processes.
- Educate and train staff on behavior management and de-escalation techniques.
- Assist with workflow development, program design, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a behavioral health resource and safety champion for the clinic.
Essential Functions
- Work collaboratively with staff, patients and patients’ families in order to provide behavior analytic services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders or other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Conduct behavioral assessments and perform functional analyses as needed to identify function(s) of problem behavior.
- Utilize trauma-informed and behavior analytic principles to develop effective interventions to decrease problem behavior, minimize distress, reduce avoidable appointment cancellations, and improve healthcare access; provide instruction in and supervision of their implementation to staff and families of patients.
- Supervise the collection of data necessary to determine effectiveness of interventions to decrease problem behavior; utilize data to refine/revise interventions as needed. Develop and maintain individualized behavioral, sensory, and communication support profiles to guide patient centered care, and inform care team accommodations.
- Identify skill deficits appropriate to target in a (focused or comprehensive) behavior analytic instruction program; develop evidence-based program to teach these deficit skills; provide instruction and supervision of (focused or comprehensive) program to staff and families of patients.
- Supervise the collection of skill acquisition data necessary to determine effectiveness of intervention programming. Providing consultation and real-time support before and during patient encounters to facilitate successful patient participation in healthcare services.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of assessment and treatment to meet hospital and insurance billing guidelines.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.
Qualifications
- Required Master's Degree
- 1 year of relevant experience with 1 to 3 years’ experience working as Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Preferred
- CRT-Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) - Behavior Analyst Certification Board Behavior Analyst Certification Board Upon Hire required
