Help young people take their next step into work

At Fedcap, we believe every young person should have the opportunity to build a better future through work.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming futures by connecting young people with local employers. You'll build strong relationships with businesses, identify meaningful job opportunities and work closely with participants to understand their goals, match them to the right role and support them to succeed.

If you're someone who enjoys engaging employers, creating opportunities and seeing the life-changing impact that employment can have on an individual's confidence, independence and future, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll be doing

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local employers across a range of sectors.
- Generating quality vacancies, work placements, apprenticeships and other employment opportunities.
- Getting to know employers and understand their recruitment needs, workplace culture and progression opportunities.
- Developing a pipeline of vacancies and actively match participants to suitable opportunities.
- Using creative approaches such as reverse marketing to open up opportunities that may not otherwise exist.
- Supporting participants throughout the recruitment journey, from identifying suitable roles through to interviews, job starts and beyond.
- Working with employers and participants to agree effective onboarding arrangements, workplace support and reasonable adjustments where required.
- Carrying out strengths-based vocational profiling to understand each participant’s skills, aspirations, experience and barriers.
- Providing practical support with job searching, applications, CVs and interview preparation.
- Connecting participants with specialist services and community organisations where additional support is needed.
- Providing in-work support to help people settle into their roles, overcome challenges and sustain employment.

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in people who can build relationships, spot opportunities and genuinely want to help people succeed.

You’ll ideally have experience in recruitment, employer engagement, business development, sales, account management, employability, employment services or another employer-facing role.

We’re looking for someone who can:

- Build trusted relationships with employers and other stakeholders.
- Identify employer needs and turn conversations into real recruitment opportunities.
- Match people effectively to vacancies and support successful recruitment.
- Communicate confidently and influence a wide range of people.
- Network within the local business community and develop new employer relationships.
- Manage multiple employers, vacancies and participants while staying organised.
- Work towards performance targets and contractual outcomes.
- Understand local labour markets and the factors influencing recruitment.

Experience of welfare-to-work, employability, supported employment or working with people facing barriers to employment would be valuable, as would experience of working with young people, apprenticeships or skills pathways.

Above all, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about creating opportunities and making a tangible difference to people’s lives.
