Job Description
Platform Distribution and Partnerships is a division of NBCUniversal's media group responsible for the distribution and monetization of the company’s multi-billion-dollar linear and streaming services portfolio to pay-tv providers, NBC broadcast affiliates, consumer technology platforms and devices, and consumer brands. A key revenue-generator, the division is comprised of content distribution, affiliate relations, and strategic partnerships across NBC, Peacock, Bravo, Telemundo, and various FAST channels.
The Senior Director, Platform Distribution & Partnerships will report to the Senior Vice President, Platform Distribution & Partnerships and lead a team responsible for managing and growing v/MVPD, Peacock and FAST distribution. This role oversees the negotiation, execution, and ongoing management of distribution agreements across major v/MVPD, Peacock and FAST partners for NBCU’s portfolio of media assets. The Senior Director will drive strategic partner initiatives from incubation through implementation, ensuring strong execution and alignment with business objectives. This is a highly cross-functional role with touchpoints across Marketing, Product, Technology, Legal, Finance, Decision Sciences, Ad Sales, and Operations, requiring deep collaboration to maximize partner impact and optimize distribution strategies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Negotiations and execution of distribution agreements for services across a diverse portfolio of partners, including v/MVPD, DTC and FAST partners.
- Oversee and manage a team, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to maximize performance and impact.
- Develop and implement comprehensive partnership strategies to drive subscriber acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth for NBCU’s suite of products.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners, serving as a key point of contact to align on mutual goals, drive execution, and resolve challenges.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders – including marketing, product, content, finance, and legal – to support partnership initiatives, ensure operational excellence, and deliver on key business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and platform performance to identify new growth opportunities, refine strategies, and inform decision-making.
- Structure, model, and evaluate partnership agreements to optimize terms and drive measurable business impact, balancing short-term objectives with long-term strategic positioning.
- Act as a thought leader within the organization, influencing internal stakeholders and advocating for innovative distribution approaches to maximize reach and engagement.
- Represent NBCUniversal at external meetings, industry events, and partner engagements, reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in media distribution.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or digital media distribution within the television, film, or streaming industry.
- Extensive experience negotiating complex distribution agreements and managing high-profile partner relationships.
- Direct experience with v/MVPD and DTC agreements and negotiations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the media landscape, business models, and evolving consumer behaviors in television and digital media.
- Proven ability to lead teams, fostering professional growth and a high-performance culture.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of the entertainment industry and NBCUniversal’s content and distribution ecosystem.

Additional Requirements:
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $165,000-$205,000 plus bonus and long-term incentive eligible
