Job Summary:
The Campus Facility Manager is the on-the-ground leader responsible for keeping the campus safe, clean, welcoming, and fully operational so that ministry can flourish without distraction. This hands-on leader manages a team of Facility Staff, builds and cares for a strong volunteer team, nurtures excellent relationships with campus staff and ministry leaders, and oversees all vendors working on their campus. The Campus Facility Manager combines strong relational gifts with technical and organizational skills to create an environment where people encounter Christ through excellence in facility stewardship.

Monday – Friday (with weekend and event oversight as needed)
Responsibilities:
- Build and Maintain Campus Relationships
Serve as the primary facility point-of-contact for campus staff, ministry leaders, attendees, and volunteers.
- Proactively meet with campus pastors and ministry leaders to understand upcoming needs, gather feedback, and ensure facility support exceeds expectations.
- Communicate with campus staff and keep them informed on projects, timelines, and any impact on ministry activities.
- Represent the Facilities team with warmth, professionalism, and a servants heart in all interactions.
- Lead Assigned Staff
Directly supervise, train, schedule, develop, and provide regular feedback to assigned staff.
- Foster a healthy, fun, and mission-driven team culture among assigned staff.
- Handle performance reviews, coaching, and corrective action when necessary.
- Develop and Care for a Team of Facility Volunteers
Recruit, train, schedule, appreciate, and retain a team of facility volunteers for setups/teardowns, cleaning, light maintenance, and special projects.
- Intentionally disciple and minister to volunteers, helping them grow in faith and belonging while serving.
- Develop and follow clear systems and rhythms that make volunteering easy, meaningful, and fun.
- Lead and Manage Our Team of Vendors
Serve as the main point of contact and on-site supervisor for all vendors (janitorial, HVAC, pest control, landscaping, etc.) on assigned campus(es).
- Hold vendors accountable to scope, quality, timeliness, and budget.
- Communicate vendor performance and needs clearly to the Campus Support Facility Director.
- Additional Responsibilities
Oversee daily and weekly cleaning, setups/teardowns, and preventative maintenance using the churchs work-order system.
- Perform or delegate minor repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.) and escalate larger issues promptly.
- Ensure exterior grounds are clean, safe, and welcoming (trash pickup, snow removal, light landscaping).
- Secure buildings at the end of each day and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Champion safety protocols and compliance with all regulations.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience (2+ years preferred).
- Strong relational and communication skills – able to connect easily with staff, volunteers, and vendors.
- Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, AVL basics a plus).
- Hands-on problem-solving ability and comfort with basic maintenance and repair tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computers and facility-related software.
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs repeatedly and be on feet for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, climbing ladders, and working from heights.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions (snow removal, outdoor projects).
