What you'll be doing
As a member of the Human Resources Talent Acquisition team, you'll proactively source and assess best-in-class external talent, helping us hire team members who can deliver an exceptional client and employee experience. As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, you'll support Personal, Business Banking and Imperial Service across Western Canada and the Territories by developing sourcing strategies and recruiting high-quality candidates who can support business plans and goals. You'll use your expertise in recruitment and the labour market to challenge assumptions about talent and help create a competitive advantage for CIBC.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
- Strategic sourcing - Identify sourcing strategies and channels to build a strong pipeline of candidates for your assigned portfolio. Establish connections, maintain and leverage a professional online and social media presence, and proactively engage talent through your network. Provide trusted advice to hiring managers by using diverse interviewing and assessment techniques to validate candidate experience and fit.
- Business acumen - Stay current on labour market trends and competitor activity, and provide business partners with insights and recommendations that improve the quality of external hires. Build deep subject matter expertise in your portfolio to better forecast and influence hiring plans and decisions.
- Relationship management - Build and maintain strong professional relationships with leaders, internal partners, and candidates. Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience by managing your talent pipeline, acknowledging applicants, and maintaining regular communication. Consult with business partners on Talent Acquisition processes, activities, and outcomes as a trusted partner.
- Recruitment planning - Partner with business leaders to understand current and future hiring needs, translate workforce priorities into actionable recruitment plans, and adjust your approach as business demands evolve. Use data, market insights, and pipeline activity to help inform hiring timelines and support better talent decisions.
