About this opportunity:

This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work within Ericsson's Customer Issue & Investigation Group (CIIG), supporting radio product verification and customer network investigations. Based in Canada, the successful candidate will gain practical experience with Ericsson's radio and baseband technologies while contributing to real-world problem-solving in 5G network environments.

What you will do:

- Develop knowledge of Ericsson Radio products across the Remote, Massive MIMO, and Indoor portfolio, as well as Ericsson basebands (purpose-built and Cloud RAN).
- Support customer case investigations through hands-on lab reproduction of issues occurring in operator networks.
- Perform troubleshooting of radio hardware and software.
- Execute Test Object List (TOL) test cases for new radios developed within Radio Product Canada (RPCA).
- Build lab experience by setting up configurations with Qualcomm UE software, supporting PC installation, and working with test tools such as spectrum analyzers, radios, and basebands.
- Contribute to test case automation by designing Moshell scripts.
- Attend and help prepare workshops and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Conduct data analysis related to Ericsson radios and CIIG team performance.
- Utilize and help automate AI tools and agents as part of day-to-day work.

The skills you bring:

- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, and Bash.
- Comfort working in a Linux-based environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Basic understanding of electronic circuits and components (e.g., resistors, capacitors, inductors, amplifiers, diodes).
- Basic understanding of computer networking.
- Familiarity with AI tools, AI agents, and generative AI platforms (e.g., Kiro, Martina, GenAI Playground, Ericsson Everyday Assistant, CoPilot).
- Basic knowledge of Telecom and RF networking.
- Strong organizational and communication skills in English.
- Eagerness to learn about Ericsson radio products and their application in 5G deployments globally.
- A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in contributing to the CIIG team's work.

Eligibility requirements:

- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Uploading an unofficial copy of your transcript
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, master’s, or PhD on a full-time basis at a four-year college or university at the time of the co-op
- Be available to work 40 hours per week

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

The salary range for this position is:
Bachelors: $25.5/hr CAD - $34.5/hr CAD
Masters: $37/hr CAD
